***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I just called my local corporate store and ask if they received Galaxy Nexus posters and if they were going up tonight. This guy sounded genuinely honest and said that they were not performing a "refresh" this evening and that the promotional materials were not in his store.

I also asked how many calls he received regarding the phone and he said I was the only the 3rd caller today. In the grand scheme I guess there is only a small percentage of us nut bags :) interested thus far. I'm sure it will take off with the mere mortals once it gains some steam though, lol!

Nothing new to add, just making converation, heck it's my first post! :)
 
The reason that it might not be in the system tonight is, (I used to work for gamestop) everynight the set their pcs to poll(update prices/information/add skus/erase skus) so just because it isnt there now doesnt mean it wont be tomorrow.

A. I just like a clean design aesthetic. Just a personal preference, and Im still going to buy the thing, but I dont want it looking like a nascar. (ok im exaggerating, but still.)

B. I am unhappy at verizon right now. Yes, its petty - but screw 'em. Im not advertising your company for you. Buy your own billboards.

Everyone keeps talking about checking VZW website at midnight...

Did the RAZR or any other phones with pre-orders get a midnight release? Or is it more likely they will do it during business hours sometime?

Then why are you willing to pay them $300 upfront + $60/month for the privilege to use the phone on their network? ;)

I live in Mt Laurel off Rt 38. I actually waited in line at the Verizon on 73 near Cracker Barrel the morning the X came out. It's like 7 minutes away from my house and I have another corporate store 1 mile from my house, but they opened an hour later.

Grew up in Gloucester Township (not city, Blackwood/Laurel Springs area). We aren't quite as dense as North Jersey near New York City (yuck), but we are still very dense around Philly.
 
I just got off the phone from upgrading my wife from the DX to the Dinc2(for free) we had a long talk about the nexus, without me saying any words of any dates at all, he did say that it was rumored to have pre-orders tomorrow and a release date the 8th or the 9th. Keep in mind this was a level 2 tech(the first tech had to transfer me couldnt help me). Now i dont know if it was from surfing through the web on his own, or from VZW. Take this how you want, just relaying information.

No it hasn't. When the Best Buy page went up, it referred to a verifiable fact. We saw the product page with our own eyes. We've seen so many dates come and go from various official and unofficial confirmed sources that until we have something concrete, we should give that date about as much credence as all of the other dates. Particularly when the rumor this is based on seems to be self perpetuating. If it pans out, great. Let the world know.

From what I read, iPhone 4 pre-orders went up at midnight PST.
