Parvo is really scary! One had a bought with coocoilia or something, it's a parasite. But she's all better now:)
They're not too nubbly any more. Biggest problem has been potty training! So much harder with two! And so many stairs in the new house. We have a strict new crate training plan though, I've let my bf be way too lienent, but not anymore!

I'm the disciplinarian in the home (with our two doggies). We never had an accident in the house after the first week or two. But we didn't get them at the same time. Must be much more difficult with two pups.

I took some vacation time and followed them like a hawk EVERYWHERE.

Does anyone use Google Voice to actually place calls, or just for the voicemail features?

I use it to both place and receive calls.

I sent out emails and texts to all of my contacts a couple of years ago telling them that I had a new phone number (my GV number).

I also use it with an Obi110 at home ( Obihai - Home ) to place and receive calls using an analog desk phone. Two of them, actually... a red 1978 ITT touch tone phone and a 1941 Western Electric 302 rotary (with an inline device that converts pulse to touch tones).

I can pick up one of the analog phones, get a dial tone and dial out as you would with a normal land line.

When people in a particular Google Contacts group call my GV number, both my OG Droid and my desk phones ring simultaneously. I can answer on any of the three phones.

Not from a smartphone (GNex to be my first), but I use Google Voice to place calls from a desktop PC. It is a convenient way to make long-distance calls during the day without using my work phone (strictly forbidden) or using my mobile's voice-plan minutes. I do not place calls that often, but so far, the quality has always been good.

I use Google Voice to make all of my calls and also the Voice Mail feature. tyou can call my google voice number or my normal cell number and both ring to my cell. calling to/from my google voice uses ZERO minutes on my calling plan and i use around 3000 month on google voice for my bat business.

Tahoe, I assume? Is it easy getting up there mid-winter, or do you need chains? I really need to get out West to ride, but I figure riding out there will ruin riding in Vermont and the Poconos for me. Don't wanna spoil myself. What's your set up?

Yep, Tahoe. I usually go to Sierra@Tahoe or Kirkwood. Kirkwood, you definitely need chains if there has been any recent snow. But Sierra is usually safe to get to unless you're driving right after a big snow. :)

yeah, when the vet said parvo symptoms, my reply was oh crap. Our previous dog had some kind of parasite too, but a dose of meds and all was better.

nubbly! love that word!

potty training is hard with one, I can't imagine 2 at once! We've gated off the main stairs, and most of the main floor is hardwood, and vinyl, so accidents clean up easily. We're starting to get past that now tho.

Crate training is one of the best things you can do. All of our dogs have been crate trained. When our kids were younger, the dogs would play for a while but when they had enough crazy kid time, they would head down to the basement in their crates. It was a safe zone for them.

Love dogs, can't imagine not having them around.

Another one of the early warning signs of nearing a gapi/HanSolo type nose dive.

I use it to place phone calls. I'm a teacher. I give my google voice number to my parents. If I ever call them back I use my google voice number that way they don't have my real cell number. This also gives me the ability to block them easily through the number. I also have a special greeting for them when they call.

I also coach 3 different basketball teams and am a youth pastor. I use Google Voice with all of them one way or the other. I use GVSMS to send group text messages using Google Voice. I also use Google Voice as my primary Home number for my bills. We no longer have a land line and I don't want to give out my cell.

It's free and easy to use. I LOVE Google Voice. :)

Pretty much the same for me. Use my GV# for work.

Double checked the app and I cannot login to multiple accounts on it, so I'm still on the hunt for a solution to my desire for visual voicemail for my phones actual number. I don't pay for my phone yet, my parents are very generous (want me to focus on college and my career building, which means low pay early on in film work) so I may just put the VZW app on it unless there's something just as good for free...

Some guy over at phonearena posted this

"My friend who is in upper management in Verizon just told me he got an update on the date Yesterday.... Says it is the 12th now, though this is the second time they have pushed the date they had told them back."

I realize it's just another he said she said but I noticed he posted this at 10:00 am when Engadget posted the Dec 11th leak that wasn't until 10:45.

I did that the first weekish but wasn't able to keep up with it. I don't think my other dogs took this long. But i only had one at a time and was home all the time back then. Nice work though!

its forvever two weeks away......... will we ever get this phone? I am really starting to think by the time verizon releases this damn thing it will be nearing obsolescence just like the bionic. Not sure why I feel that way I just do.....oh wait probably because this phone was suppose to be out in two weeks for the past two months!

Sadly for some reason I believe it. Why quite release the Nexus? I for one am an ATT customer that is waiting for this phone to come out to switch. I know I am only one person, but still.

I am a Google Voice user. I really like the look of the Verizon Visual Voicemail app pictured. I think Google Voice could really use a refresher. I like the pictures by the voicemails.

I agree with you 100%. While most Google apps have good functionality and the wonderful benefit of being free, third party apps like this one look so much better. Of course I'm still using an older version of Google Voice so that I can take advantage or the F&F plan on Verizon. I'm just hoping I can go backwards on the Nexus with the app and still be compatible.

Ugh. The girl in the office with a TV called us over. She loves Kathy Lee and Hoda. They have this incredibly irritating schtick where they have a family come on the show, and present a very touching story, like the kid saved them from a fire, or one of them donated a kidney to another one, or something like that.

Anyway, at the end of the segment, they have these crappy singers come on and sing a song that was written about their experience. Everyone cries.

So. freaking. corny.

The girl in the office is standing in front of the TV, with her arms crossed, and is occasionally wiping her eyes. She then turns to us and says "Wasn't that so beautiful?!"

We just roll our eyes and walk out, thankful for the distraction but sickened at the same time.

You're better than I. I'd have had a hard time keeping a straight face and not making some snarky comment.

**Update**

Been texting my friend from Best Buy about the leaked screen shot (reference a few posts up) and had him look up the item # and model in the inventory managment system. He confirmed the "In Stock Date" as 12/11/11 he said this typically means they will get shipments in a few days before or after (which would coincide with the typical Friday truck deliveries his store gets)

Hopefully this is helpful to you all, more signs pointing to either a 12/8, 12/11 or 12/12 release.

Mods, could you please do something to kill off the flood of off-topic bloat that are occurring in this thread? Some of us actually come here to find out updates about the actual phone.

Seriously if the only posts in this thread were Nexus news we might only have a couple hundred posts. The mods IMHO have made it clear on more than 1 occasion that off topic was cool, things as counting posts weren't.
