Not at all. The screen is a major battery sink for this phone - by changing it to a black background (ie - screen saver); a lot of battery can be saved. This allows the phone to stay in an awake mode, but use a lot less power.
 
So I have not seen the new GNex in the flesh... May be it is a conspiracy...

Is a GNex an HTC with to much THC?

Keep it under wraps... lol

Sorry if my hidden posts offended anyone. I was a little crazy with the night crowd and happiness that I actually will continue to get pay checks and I can actually get the nexus rather than rubbing my nickles together to try to make the mortgage. No need to taunt with hide tags though, sorry. Come back MoPho.

off topic (seriously, it's about my dog, don't open if you don't care):
My super mellow lab has counter surfed the last two days and is now acting crazy... cool weather brings about a whole new ball game.

I guess it's not that odd to me. Major revisions are typically planned and developed way ahead of testing on the software I work on. There is overlap with interim releases or patches on a major version we just deployed to production while we are testing the "next big thing".

Also we are assuming 4.1 is a major release (anyone remember Eclair's jump from 2.0 to 2.1...2.1 being a minor release and hence, still Eclair).
