camp stuff
 Um, this is my job. I mean, I had a systems-admin-tech-support-pretend-to-be-an-engineer job at a network and telecom hardware reseller for a few years, but I was doing Camp, Childcare and Team Building before that job, and I went back to it after that job. Mostly the team building stuff, but I still help run summer camps and train their staff. It's much more rewarding than all that computer networking stuff. I could totally facilitate a team building session with y'all... and if you do it somewhere that I've worked before, we could even do it all the way to the point of going on a high ropes course together.

Semi Camp Stuff
I love the ropes courses!!

Well after reading 1172 pages you guys have finally convinced me to leave sprint and get this phone. I really hate getting phones through Best Buy but I have $300 in gift cards I need to use =/

Oh and Hi!

Hi! Love that you've been with us the whole time (even I haven't been here they whole time even though it feels like it.)
:D

Nah, I'm a respectful enthusiast, I turn it down at the stop lights. Cut me off though and that red light will be your worst nightmare! ;)

You're gonna lose most of it anyways, why not enjoy and actually remember why you lost it? lol :D

You're the guy I like cause he turns it down. And if I cut you off then you did it first. :p

One was posted yesterday I'll try to find it. Was it the Verge's? nahh okay I'll look for it.

Someone could twit P3 no?

When we all get our Galaxy Nexus someone here should try it out, have it rotate through every color with the screen off until the battery dies and then post the results. :p

hahah definitely would be an interesting experiment. Put it in airplane mode, have it cycle through notifications and see how long it takes to die. Compare that to airplane mode with no notifications (the control) and we could see just how much power it'd draw.

I for one will not be volunteering to do this, because I doubt I will want to put my gnex out of commission for that long to test it (twice no less). :p

Maybe as punishment for being on Probation Han should have to do it? ;)

hey man are you a member over on SMD?

I am but I don't frequent that forum AT ALL. To many people riding S.M. private parts and I'm not into that at all I do like his builds though. I only signed up there to flame DC Power a while back when they had me waiting 3+ months on an alt I ordered and stopped answering the phone. You usually can find me on CACO or CSC if I'm not here anyways and that's where my build logs are.

I can sum up my response in one word: AWESOME!!!!

Thank you sir!

****Mods, feel free to do the hide thingy with my last few posts, I don't know how to do it and I knew it would take me forever to find one of the 50+ posts explaining it. Sorry about that.:(

Yep, 4 Peerless 6.5's, 4 peerless 5.25's, 2 Peerless 4" mids, 8 Crescendo CTS-1 tweeters all being ran in an active setup. Got it all covered. :D

I just got my pair of Polk Monitor 70 's. They are AMAZING!!! I have literally been sitting here and just smiling, listening to La Traviata (specifically Dame Joan Sutherland) and various Mahler pieces. Pure bliss :o:o

PS Driven with an Adcom 5300. The source is my Thunderbolt, as my real DAC and preamp are in my dorm room, and I had these delivered to my parent's house.

PPS I love the off topic chatter. Some may hate it, but I honestly would not know you guys if not for all of this. It is this camaraderie that makes it worth my time to come here and help others if I can. Because I am helping someone that I either have gotten to know, or who is at least part of a community in which I am invested. IF this were all on topic, it may as well just be an RSS feed from a valid source or something like that.

EDIT: took the PPS out of the hide tags because I felt it was on topic.

Anyone else use Google Voice? I think I have to cancel - everyone says it takes like 12 rings to get to my voice mail.

I was hoping they would have been able to get this right. Instant transcription is awesome.

I can't remember which of my phones had the multi-color LED- Omnia ? In any case it definitely cycled through. If it doesn't, it seems kind of pointless to me.

I have no issues with GV at all. It's always worked really well. Has it always been like this for you?

[Hide]That does sound like an awesome setup! I would love to hear that!!!:D[/Hide]

It's my turn to start a quickly disproved rumor.

I just got a call from a local Verizon store. My physical reaction was inappropriate for this forum. It was some sales-dude asking if I wanted to switch my home phone to Verizon. My physical reaction changed at that point. I politely listened and declined but had to get in my Nexus plug because it's the forum law.

He said he heard it was supposed to be released in mid-December but has been pushed back to January to boost the first quarter. After he dropped that he suggested I stop into the store, yadda, yadda.

Analysis: He believed what he said because he was pushing for me to stop in and if he thought the date was next week would have used that to get me in the store. I do not believe his information was accurate for two reasons:
  1. I don't want to believe it.
  2. He's just a local guy who probably has the same sources as we do.

Take it for what it's worth. I'm reporting this because I heard it not because I feel it's accurate.
