So I can see that now some of you happen to have doubts of the information I give you guys. Well like I stated from the very beginning, I am not here to prove my credibility or state my sources or pass anything I tell you off as official Verizon statements. And to those of you who have thanked me for my help, I would like to take this moment to express my gratitude. I am aware that you guys are a very dedicated community of Android users and we appreciate all the support you provide for us and your fellow peers. Thank you for being a very active part of the products and devices we provide for you. I expect this to be my signing off statement and I wish all of you the best. Hang in there everyone, the phone is coming this week and regardless of who you are (doubter or believer) I am sure everyone on this thread will be enjoying our device very soon. Honestly, I'm a skeptic by heart. But even if you don't believe open1your1eyes, think of it this way...even if he/she was just reposting already-leaked information, then we all get a nice recap of what's been going on. His/her summaries have been some of the more helpful when trying to skim through 25 pages/day...



...since some of you doubters might be bigger nerds, I'll summarize...

Well, i figured since the LTE is a hair thicker and the TPU on amazon fits both, then this well too. Also, all the other sellers on ebay who sell TPU's say it will fit both. Either way it was $2 for something I will probably rarely use so whatever.

I guess the one thing I'll say is farewell. I don't worry when people challenge me on the internet. It comes with the territory. I think it's a pretty weak move to let that get to you when the majority of people here are very respectful and thankful for the details. I hope you do realize, the majority were very gracious. If you are going to put yourself out there with a date and not being able to give sources (respectfully), then you better be able to take the childish antics that come with a message board. You knew that before posting your data. Don't look for sympathy here.

Nonetheless, farewell and I hope life takes you where you need to be. :)

Not only am I getting the same date from my sources, but I just called my local Verizon Wireless Corporate store and was told that they already have the SGN in stock but they aren't allowed to activate them until tomorrow (Which, I'm guessing will also be the announcement date.) and the official release date is as I stated above.

I do not know about any potential pre-order dates, but if I was a betting man (And I am) I would guess that the 8th/9th dates floating around are for pre-orders.

I don't understand what this means, as LTE phones have SIMs that are activated at time of purchase?

Too funny....my phone calls 911 on it's on from the front screen ((old Palm Pre)hurry verizon before I go to jail for crank calling 911)). Also, my palm touches it'self which so it is difficult to send a message or do anything...it's almost like my phone is competing with me...i tap the screen in one place and wait for an app to open, mean while (still waiting for the app to open), my Palm touches itself and decides it wants another app open. Yesterday, it started answering phone calls on it's own....your right, these phones have a sixth sense...it knows it's number is up and it is going to be replaced.....soon!
I just hope they have enough phones on hand on release date...I'm debating whether to drive to some small country town where nobody wants to buy the phone. hopefully, it's not like the cabbage patch or tickle me elmo christmas debacles and nobody gets hurt. I say Thursday 12/8 for a release date because any time I've ever waited in line for a phone, it has been a cold miserable day or hot as haites outside...high of 45 on Thursday.

If you're getting all bent out of shape because of something someone says ON THE INTERNET, you should take a step back. Some people need some thicker skin.

It all boils down to it not being official until Verizon says so. Besides that, who knows who is 'right' or 'wrong'. And who cares. It will get here when it gets here. Just enjoy the ride.

From most product vendors yes. I don't recall the exact dimensions but they are saying basically one size fits all. Someone will come along and ninja this by the time I'm done typing and probably provide a link too! Oh well ;)

Agreed. I will post what my sister says, but I am very comfortable saying it could be complete BS because it's just hearsay.

Hmmm ... well, I've worked customer service full time for nearly 20 years. There is one particular question that I get asked multiple times every day. I can tell you, without equivocation, that my demeanor can sometimes reach to discouraging at best.

All I'm saying is that if people would stop harassing the CSRs that they wouldn't have to worry about one being nasty to to them when all they are doing is basically wasting their time ( and believe me, that's exactly how the CSRs see it ).

You're a part of this forum so you will know, probably within hours, when the Gnex is for sale. I'm sure you'll get one in the first batch - which, face it, is what everyone harassing these CSRs really wants.

My whole point is that everyone needs to chill out ( I've said it before on MULTIPLE occasions ). The Gnex will be here when it is here. Not a second before and calling vzwcs or poking around in stores will not change that. It's been stated that the Gnex will drop before the end of the year. Please, I implore you and all the others ... take that to mean anytime before 1/1/12. When it drops this week or next, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Wow I thought attacks like this were discouraged, nay, frowned upon. I disagree with you!

The job of any customer service rep is to rep the company in the best possible light to current and potential customers at all times regardless of how you are feeling or what happened to your cat fluffy the night before. I can assure you this is coming from someone that has done a 'customer service' oriented job w/ our customers more ornery then any you have ever come across.

Oh, I'm not attacking his reputation or credibility. I don't know him from Adam, so I couldn't say either way. I just think that all the available evidence points to this week.

Knowing Verizon, it could very well be pushed back. I just don't think so, after seeing the box and the store reps conversations.
