I just got home from Baseball practice and I had a message from my VZW rep from our local corp. store here in Owasso, OK. I call her back and ....

She told me that the Nexus was coming out Thursday. She said that they were not getting much stock in. First question I ask was if there had been an official announcement from Verizon because I had been away from the blogs since about 2:45 - 3:00, pathetic I know, She said, no, that right now they are doing an "informal" announcement to the people who had been reaching out to them about the phone, because there won't be much stock. Next thing she said was....will you be interested in a "MIDNIGHT LAUNCH"???? My answer....uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......YES!!!!!!!! As of right now I have an appointment for Wed night/ Thur morning at midnight. She is guaranteeing me one Galaxy Nexus and one spare battery with charger kit!!!!!!!

GETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTY UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coach... I'm going to be crying with you online, if you get stood up and find nothing but a locked door. It will be come a Hallmark made for TV movie.

If true, VZW seems to be throwing away all precedents, formalities, and normal procedures with this phone.

Not to harp on this subject (because that's probably exactly what they wanted in the first place), but didn't everyone see Steven's PSA about this person posting from questionable IP addresses (e.g. from a known banned former member)?

Why are people still apologizing for this person when the staff here has found they were, for all intents and purposes, trolling? Or did I mis-read Steven's PSA? I'll go back and find it now...

Kate... you must have missed Steven's post about him being called out as a fraud by his IP address.
 
Just got home from work and seeing my niece's baby that she just gave birth to today. I jump around a couple of pages and some sweet looking pics of the phone in a possible release box. So we know everything about this phone. We have seen the phone with verizon branding on it. The user manual with verizon printed on it. But still no word from the red beast. Ugh...

If this humbabe coach goes up at freakin midnight to a locked door!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL....visualize the most ridiculous fit you've ever seen any baseball manager throw on a baseball field and multiply that by about 10, and that'll be me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
 
My question is how does Apple go about announcing and releasing their phones shortly after announcing them? What do they do differently? And why don't companies follow their lead?
 
One or two times per day, I check my Dinc only to find that it has shut itself off.

I start to get mad at my Dinc and then at Verizon and then...

I end up just being grateful to Verizon that they actually released my Dinc.

Hurry up GNex; my Dinc is dying!
