Another poster above said the CSR told them it was 12:00 AM PST. So I guess we will have to wait and see. Please note it is quite possible that if this is a soft launch, there will be no preorders and it will just pop up for order on the day it goes live. That said, sick as I am (cold), I am going to wait until 12:00 AM PST (since I am in PST it's not too late) just to see if something happens. :)

I found this out the hard way like 2 years ago when I went to go get my Eris. I had all the right info, but because I was still in my parents plan, they wouldnt let me do it without them being there. I think if your parents call they can add you, only takes a minute or two.

You can actually add yourself as an account manager from the website (f they are cool with that). That's what I did, the warning it gave is that "this person" will be able to do just about anything as far as buying phones, upgrades, and making payments.

I literally JUST did it lol! I'm the one that takes care of our account anyways, my parents dont really speak English so they sort of expect me to do so, so they are cool with it!

It could still be a soft launch and have pre orders. It does state that orders will begin to ship on the 6th. Now if that is pre orders or the stores normal orders we don't know
 
Quick Question:

is it possible to get BOTH the corporate discount and the Loyalty Discouty ($50)?
if not, is there any price difference when buying online vs. in-store?

I left Sprint and joined my old ladies plan, which was the end for her because I got the incredible and she still had a flip phone. I got her to fall in love with the DINC and talked her into using her upgrade for the DX and giving it to me. Long story short she was sold on Smart phones, Android, and the DINC.

Since I am on travel I had to make myself an account manager a few weeks ago for the
pending release of the Nexus and she was like "What the heck are you doing!? I keep getting darned messages from Verizon!" Needless to say she didn't care because she knew how excited I was to get it.

Some stores have already claimed to receive them.. so I have no idea what that means.

Err...I never said it wouldn't happen. I only said it is possible there will be no preorders. I kinda just posted that to give an easy let down for people if there isn't a preorder at 12:00 AM CST/PST. It was supposed to emphasize that the phone might still be available for purchase on Thurs/Fri even if no preorder happens. Sorry if I confused anyone...A bit under the weather atm.

Haha, glad to see u could her hooked like we are on android phones lol, it's the way to go! But yeah I was worried that I would walk into a store and they'd laugh in my face and say I can't do anything without my pops (I wouldv'e just went to my car and called CS saying I was him anyways to add myself) but this saved time!

And I got what u meant lol!
 
I'm home on break from college and being around my sister who works for verizon is such a downer lol. She took one look at the supposed leaked email from verizon and said "that email, the wording, none of it looks like any email I've gotten at work." I'm still really hoping for a release this week though, I'll just have to ignore her pessimism while I'm here!

I wasn't planning on rooting it if I didn't have to. In fact, I just recently rooted my OG Droid after using it stock for almost 2 years :D but if verizon is gonna limit what I can do with the nexus such as no google wallet and no tethering I guess I HAVE TO root it...

If you're ever going to consider rooting, do it right when you get the phone, because it wipes your data... or is that just unlocking the bootloader (flashing ROMs) that does that?
