yeah seriously lol how come a reseller is telling me they have inventory and to come check it out tomorrow and verizon "hasnt been told anything"
 
Hoping the 9th actually happens just like the rest of us, but are we going strictly off the 'leaked' docs in the OP? I have trouble believing anything at this point, especially since VZ has said nothing about it so far

Wish I knew someone that worked at Verizon Wireless to try and get confirmation as well, but I dont :mad:

No it's not... the EVO 4G is not LTE. It is a different "EVO" - probably something like "Exceptional View Organizer" or some marketing term.

i specifically asked "are you going to be at the store on Thursday" rather than asking "12/08". Thursday was the day he told me to come in. if the soft launch IS happening, then Thursday should still be a go with the official, advertised launch on Friday.

i hope that's the case...
 
Hi guys...i know everyone's busy but i need some help from my peeps....

currently, i am using a device which is "incompatible" (low screen res or weak processor) with some of the 10c apps...so i tried to download them in my PC browser and it would not let me because there is no compatible device to "send" the app to...any solutions? I really wanna be PRIMED for when i get my NEXUS (haha).

Mine shows as $250 online as well. If I get this same discount in-store and then use the LivingSocial $50 credit, I should be able to walk out with the phone for $199. ;)

I think that may be what they internally call the Thunderbolt since it's based off similar architecture. Just a guess. That and Legacy Stores sell both Sprint and Verizon merch.

You have to call CS to have it moved. The online chat folks can't do it, in store they can't do it, only the *611 folks seem to have that power. Although, I'm not sure why.
 
Question:

I had planned on ordering online and getting my GN delivered at work. However, it is quite easy for me to wait at the Verizon store and get it from there. So, what is a polite, tactful way of saying "No, under no circumstances will I let you open that box. No, you can't touch it. No, I don't need your help. No, I'm not crazy, and, Yes, I am quite sure I don't want a Razr instead."

"EVO" refers to style of display. There is Legacy and Evo. So they're referring to the new "EVO" 4G LTE display.
 
here's a random question - my phone is in my girlfriend's name because she gets a monthly discount through her job. i'm on the account as an admin, and it's my address on the account (we live together), but the actual account is under her name and SSN.

if i'm able to get them to move up my upgrade date (currently 12/29) so i can go into a store and get this thing on friday, or pre-order and have it shipped to me, does she need to be there with me or am i alright since i'm an admin on the account? this is the first phone upgrade i'm doing since switching my account into her name...
 
Hello everyone, I have been following this thread daily since late September but this is my first time posting. Like everyone else I have been waiting for this phone for quite some time as I am read to make the jump from my blackberry tour.

I just called the VZW store in livingston NJ and I spoke to sales. I told them I was interested in purchasing the Galaxy Nexus this week and I wanted to know what day they would begin selling it. Her response was " The release has been delayed, it is no longer being released on the 8th." I asked her if she knew what date and she said she hasnt been told yet." With that being said I did not mention the 8th SHE did. Lets all hope for the 9th..
 
So with all this talk, I called my local corporate store this morning and asked the manager a couple of questions. First being if I can use the $50 loyalty discount that it shows online in his store and the response was yes, anything shown online can be done in a corporate store. The second question was if he knew when the Gnex was going to be released. He said before Q4 is done which is the end of the year, I told him that I had read rumor of Decmeber 8 or 9, he said that he hadn't heard that but would check on the internet real quick and get back to me. He put me on hold and when he came back he said that he checked a site and it looks like that may be true as they were having a special training session on Thursday morning. He said once that was over he would give me a call.. I am sooo ready, my OG is toast. :D
