I posted earlier but he has a store in MD and i asked about this in case i couldn't get friday off. he'll saturday morning ship for 20.

Let him know i helped you out, i felt bad that i wasted his time only to go to a store on friday instead. haha
 
glad to see everything is looking brighter in here. i go away for a few hours and its happy happy joy joy time. hah. cant wait for friday!! anyone wanna tryout google+ hangouts?
 
If memory serves, 2 things....

1. during the incredible launch...verizon made it possible to order your phone the day before the launch date to have it shipped and delivered on the date of the launch.

2. several people were able to get verizon to ship it out several days in advance...and people had phones in hand 2 or 3 days before launch.

I think he meant that every night at 11:30 the site gets filled with people asking about the Galaxy Nexus.

The only reason you say it is "botched" is because of a bunch of internet rumors. There was never a release date put out there. The only thing botched was your lofty expectations based on blog and message board hearsay.

Not necessarily. It isn't using an app. So how could they detect it?

I feel kind of bad for Verizon folks. They all feel like Verizon is just trying to steal from them.

T-Mobile has never said anything and I do it all the time on my Nexus One (not rooted).

A little rough but absolutely true. I've just been patiently waiting for it to come out.
 
This has been said before but there absolutely MUST be a major motion picture (or at least a documentary) about this journey. The top-secret corporate info. The leaks, interviews with P3Droid, BMX, etc.

It would be a hit.

The OG Droid doesn't use an app but when I try USB tethering it blocks access and tells me to get a plan.

Just called my local Verizon. They still supposedly have no official release day and don't have any stock in. I told him to look at the equipment sheet! :D

Anyway dude is checking with manager to see if he can hold one for me and set up appointment. Did say they have a meeting tomorrow. He did say they don't normally do that but never say never, right?

He means the nut-jobs from AF and AC come on line and pester them for a preorder. Even though one was not announced......
 
I just called a few stores near my house and it is pretty obvious they are getting frustrated with all of the questions. No luck getting anyone to hold one for me though.

I think what he was saying is everyday since last Tues at 1130pm everynight 'we' (the form dwellers) log on and chat about the GN and come to the party again tonight...they expect it.

Edit: wow my first ninja'ing. It seems less satifying then I thought.
