I have to work at 9am on Friday. If it comes out and sells out before I get off and I don't get a phone because Verizon didn't do a preorder on a phone they don't care about I might just go postal. At least via forum vent.

Who really knows. I charge it while off till full the first time I buy a phone. Then run it down till almost dead (below 10%) once. From there I just charge it whenever I need to when I feel like it. Don't know if it matters :D

Just an FYI, I missed much over the last few days. I have to change cubicles at work so I've been filing aka shredding documents for the last 2 days and haven't been able to devote time to this thread.
 
Who pays for advertisements and such, Verizon or the phone manufacturers? I feel like Verizon is holding Samsung and Google hostage with this launch...

First post. After reading for a while now I finally had to get in on the action now that we are getting closer to the release. I wanted to be able to say I was part of the thread. Called a store here in Richmond, VA today just to hear what they had to say not expecting much. The guy who answered was clearly excited when I asked about the nexus. He told me if I came in and asked for him he would let me play with it. When I got there he said "this never happened" and took me in the corner and let me play with the nexus for a while. It seemed as though he was finally happy to have someone to talk about the phone with. (I think he worked with a bunch of isheep. i heard them talking to each other saying "no one will ever be able to work the new android. its so confusing") I know the saying pictures or it didn't happen, but i assure you it did. After holding it I was very happy and able to hang on a couple more days. Overall, smaller than I expected after looking at the picture leaks, and a better build quality then the "cheap plastic" comments. I don't know if several people have had my experience at this point, but in the moment i felt special. Can't wait for Friday.
Also, sorry if I am "quoting" someone in this post. I think I am going about doing this the correct way but I am not sure as this is my first time.

Anyone in the Bay Area, CA get a CSR to give up any info on the release or possible (unlikely at this point) pre-order? PM me if you feel inclined. Gonna step away from this beast to spend time with the Wife. From time to time I tell her about some of the posts her and she actually laughs!

Definitely reassuring to hear everyone say that it feels good in hand and it isn't the cheap feeling plastic!
