It's looking like the ERIS update is an error. It doesn't have sense and it wiped out that guy's phone.

Nash, great points as always.

I did it.

My wife and I are proud new owners of the Eris. I surprised her with it today.

The D-Bag at Verizon was very pushy and getting pissed at me because I wanted to Eris of the MotoDroid, I hate Motorola, I have never enjoyed a Motorola phone.

Gotta go and play with my Eris now :)

Congrads! They really are good phones, I'm not positive I won't lose my cool and go back to one :D

You bet. I can't make myself more clear to say how much I would love to have it...you know Android Forums - Reply to Topicthe rest.

Anyway, when the HTC guy said that it would be up with most of their main networks on all countries, was he actually saying the Desire itself, or a different variant? He did say something like, "I am proud to say that a record high or our key partner networks in every country have accepted the Desire." I am, of course, paraphrasing, but I'm gonna focus on that.

Ruben,

FYI. It was actually Patrick Chomet from Vodafone who said :

11:08AM "A record number of mobile operators have confirmed to launch our new devices. HTC Desire has been accepted by almost every key carrier in every key country we work with. I'd like to welcome back Peter."

With a name like Incredible, I'm sure Verizon is smart enough to not make a mediocre phone with a name like that. They def got someting up thier sleeve. I just wish I could get an Eris to hold me over and escape me from this damn Voyager, but I cant afford it. Verizon you sneaky devils you. Damn you for being so hush hush. But your Verizon, your the top of the food chain so to speak. You have room to be a lil cocky and not give away your goods right away. The Devour is def not your ace in the hole.

WE MUST HOLD ON FOR.......THE INNNNNNNCREDIBLLLEEEEEE! HAHAHAHAAAAA
Ok, my weird outburst is over lol ;P

March 23-25. Verizon wireless will be in booth 1034. (I looked it up on the CTIA website.) Maybe then we will get the news we want.

I went a step further, and checked the booth locations. Both the HTC and QualComm booths are within throwing distance of the Verizon booth. Not that it really means a whole lot, but just another thing to speculate on. Just really want to see something meaningful announced, for all out sake.

kind of a dumb question but i have the htc hero, and im nervous for my first bill because i have downloaded a few games from the market 8- 10 dont play them often but at least 7 of them said before the download, " hass acess to- internet connection" does this mean when im playing the game it costs me money?

If you have unlimited data it shouldn't be a problem. It also depends on what access to the internet it uses. Some game are just for posting scores.

A friend of mine has the Eris and it's a great phone, no question about that. It's just missing navigation in its' current state, but that is all going to change soon.

I am also glad that folks are talking about the Incredible again. I am also of the same thought that the Incredible is the Desire for US...Verizon loyalist! As far as the specs are concerned, it's up in the air. I would also tend to agree that Verizon would release something that is not up to snuff with it's name. The Devour is a snack for those intimidated by a full-fledged smart phone. I would call that a social networking phone, which, we know, is it's claim to fame with MotoBlur. My fiance has a Droid, surprised the hell out of me when she brought it home. She went from a clam-shell dumb phone to a Droid...quite a swing there. She loves it. She got a lemon the first time around, but after it was replaced (a benefit to having a Verizon phone over a Google phone) she's all good; can't put it down. She downloaded the .pdf file from the Twight Author of an unfinished book; read it all on her Droid.

So all in all...I am feeling a late March release before the April 12th release of the Desire and we'll all be very happy with the results.

Oh. Thank you for correcting me. Does Vodafone have any contacts with carriers in the states?

I don't want to hear anymore people defend VZW

"but come on guyz! best service ev3r! they can do w/e fonez they want! they don't care!"

Die.

Verizon exec's should collectively sit on the devour.
