Hopefully we know soon. I'll be calling again today.

And I think it would be BuffaloNians... Buffalites? IDK

I was thinking people of Buffalo are called "The most tortured sports fans in America"

And now we also can be called "Some of the most tortured Galaxy Nexus seekers in America'

Reasonably speaking though everyone is different. Personally I think Otter Boxes are over rated. As screen protectors go, you never know when something out of your control may scratch your screen, also with a screen protector I can wipe my screen off with just about anything without worrying about a grain of sand caught up in my t-shirt.

After my friend ran over his droidx in his otterbox and never hurt it, Thats all I will use.

I'm an Ex-Dirty Upstater (Salem... I'm sure you've NEVER heard of it, but it's close by).

Any luck hitting up stores for info? We are oh-fer in the WNY region...

I know exactly where Salem is...I have a coworker who lives there and my wife and I have gone to her place several times. Near the Vermont border, right? She always takes us to some farm that makes fresh ice cream.

Aw man, I just saw that video with the major bug while connected to USB.

Isn't it strange that throughout all the extremely rigorous testing by Verizon, such a huge thing manages to slip through?

Did anyone read through the comments? Nearly everyone said they had the same experience on different phones with junky, Chinese USB cables. Let's not freak out here guys. If this was a major issue, it would have been picked up a while ago.

I freaked when I first saw this, but really, if it was happening to EVERY phone, then wouldn't we have heard about it before now?

That's what I thought too. No one else has reported this. And you know not everyone used the cloud to transfer things to the phone.
Relax Nexians, unbunch panties. I'm sure it's nothing.
*on knees looking up, 'please phone gods, let it be nothing '*

everyone needs to take advantage of the 10 cent apps again today. I am.
Is there a quick way to find the 10₵ apps in the market?

I paid the big bucks earlier for SwiftKey X because BB raved about it so much (thanks for that btw, it is a great kb) but I'd like to see what else is available.

edit: Nevermind, I just saw your link in the later post.

I see what you are saying, but why don't just put out a press release to pacify those people waiting for this phone if not just to take some of the heat off of their customer service reps?

They most likely don't care about the reps that much. This is marketing they are spending zero dollars on. It is being handled terribly if true (they should be leaking a little something every so often) but is still working for them i think.

Ugh, so true. Especially the Bills this year . Not to mention we get it two-fold on the Nexus: No info AND we are subjected to the Canadian commercials for Bell already... Ughhhh

Like the other poster mentioned it ALMOST certainly a bad USB cable...

the phones have been out in the UK for what 3 weeks? THIS WOULD HAVE surfaced before now...

From what everyone is saying in the comments of the article on Phandroid, the bug is related to a faulty (read: cheap) usb cable. A bunch of people had trouble when they were using non OEM charging cables, possibly something to do with the power regulation or something like that.

I figure I'll keep the charger that comes with my nexus close at hand in case something like this starts to happen

You have many comrades in here in your 757 area.
And you're telling us you were able to hold off on the nerdgasm yesterday?? Impressive sir, impressive.

how sad is it that my phone automatically suggests nerdgasm after n e r?? Lol

Ha. I didn't know there was many 7cities dwellers up here. But as far as holding off...well. i've been let down before with ms nexus. So many times, i have permanento blue balls

Nice! Whats your co-workers name? (small town, I probably know her). Does she take you to the Battenkill Creamery? That's the only ice cream making place I can think of right now.

Good morning!!! Finally got my confirmation for my phone. As some of you might remember my local premium reseller store let me "preorder in Oct. And the manager emailed me this morning telling me my phone is on the truck headed to the store. I can pick it up Friday morning!!! FINALLY!!!

You would think having it preordered for so long would entitle you to pick it up on Thursday.

It's the Bills every year...

To add insult to injury we just got 4G due to Canadian Analog TV signals

If you haven't been here following the thread it's so confusing to read Steve's updates and then come in here and see everyone running around like Chicken Little.

Didn't some of that leaked documentation say in so many works that the employees should not share any information of inventory or dates. I mean aside from the "Oh it should be _________"

Also people are getting frustrated at CSRs that don't know anything but to some people it's a job, and a crappy one at that.

Not everyone is trying to overachieve at every little rinky-dink job and only know what they get from their boss. Nothing more.

Thats why you can go in there and ask a question about a phone that is released and if the answer isn't on they quick card, they are clueless.

One glass of water, one chill pill, relax.

Yes! Battenkill, that's it. Smells terrible but the ice cream was amazing!

My point is Verizon Wireless should give us something definitive to take the pressure of of their reps.
