Some more bad news after talking to Verizon...
Didn't get any release info, dude said he didn't know anything, and what he did know he couldn't break because of a non disclosure agreement. What he did say was VERY INTERESTING.
He said there is a strong possibility that the Galaxy Nexus will not be able to be purchased with an early upgrade. Currently, the only other phone that has had this stipulation has been the iPhone. The iPhone is categorized as an "Iconic Device" and therefore orders are placed through a totally different system, where even managers are not allowed to place an order through with an early upgrade.
While he said the Galaxy Nexus isn't confirmed as an Iconic Device, he said that his system window on the Galaxy Nexus has a hit counter at the bottom of the screen that displays how many inquiries they've had in regards to the Galaxy Nexus, and that number is apparently "blowing up." Additionally, the only other device that has used this hit counter has been the iPhone, leading him to believe it's going to be an "Iconic Device" as well.
May not be bad news for all of the OG Droid owners out there, but if you were planning on having your upgrade date pushed up like I was, might as well start planning for the possibility of paying full price.
