My girlfriend just asked me what the big deal is with this phone... my response:

"I have no idea what Verizon is doing with it. The reason I want it is because it is a Nexus, which is a pure Google phone running stock Android. It has the newest Android OS and will be first in line for all updates, it is the phone of all nerd phones! Lol."

Suggestion: Don't price any sets of 8GB DDR3 compared to your high-end DDR2 from back in the day. My Crucial Ballistix DDR2 is worth about 1/10th its original purchase price. :(

No, don't do this guys. Why are you trying to drag everyone down with us? P3Droid was one of the BEST devs for my OG Droid, I STILL use his stuff.... Now we ran him off. Guys, come on, be patient. Yes it sucks, but we dont need to burn every bridge we come by. The phone will be out soon, only a few more days.

Lets clean up our act guys.

Is the forum server running off of a 4g LTE connection...overloaded, changed/? My tablet cant load thise site, droid-life, or android central at speeds faster than 56k modem...yet every non droid site is fast...anyone else...im on WIfi only tablet...just me?

I do agree with your post, but we were not the ones that ran him off. It had something to do with ADR and I dont think the nexus had anything to do with it

The only real scenario I can imagine is that once it got around the webz that it was confirmed for the 9th. The execs who thought they were super sneaky caught wind of it and decided to try and kill an ant with a carpet bomb.

I will be staying up tonight for sure...I'm sure it'll be in vain but...

Verizon has a meeting early in the morning before stores open, whatever they find out in the am might pop up tonight, weather it's a Nexus or Droid 4, I want to know.

My VZW corporate store dude called me at 1646. He was sorry to inform me that the Friday launch had been delayed indefinitely, with no information on when it would be released but he will be calling again just as soon as he hears something.

So, ever faithful and optimistic, I'll be at Costco at 10AM Friday. While it is not entirely clear that I'll be leaving Nexus in hand, I may at least be munching those delicious chocolate chip cookies in consolation.

Quick question. Not sure you would know the answer, but the nearest costco is quite a bit far for me. If I am not a member (reading lifehacker.com/5852788/how-to-shop-at-costco-and-sams-club-without-a-membership) can I still buy phones there? would they just add 5%? Maybe I should call them and ask?

Can strike me off the list of people who'll bitch about sbfs and/or odin files. I honestly don't care about them, especially with the Gnex.

Plus, if you don't think someone will step in to fill the void, you don't understand people at all. P3 is not unique, I can guarantee people will figure out the same things he might have and will share the info with others. Not totally convinced he figured things out to be honest, his attitude and way of doing things totally reminds me of the script kiddies I used to have to deal with in a former job. Just using tools/info provided by smarter people who knew the better thing to do was to let some other moron be the public front.. cause then they'd take the heat if things went bad and lines were crossed.
