Pictures of the Gnex in my new TPU case. It fits very well and will keep it safe. I just can't say enough about the way this thing feels in the hand!

People being wrong on the interwebs is not new. I think the previous post was basically just urging people to be thoughtful.

Its fine to disagree with someone, but do it respectfully. The troll patrol is embarrassing especially if it originates from a forum you post at.

I think I overhyped it in my own mind a little. It's super smooth and fast, that screen is amazing. But I expected it to be bigger.

another thing that suprised me when i got my hands on was the fact that you could hardly tell it has a curved screen!

No question about that. That thread wasn't moderated at all (not that i was really a part of it, just happened upon it once, and was reminded about it here). It was a total fanboi fest, so you're right, we have been quite civilized here for the most part.

Which brings me to the other topic about superb moderation. I missed your announcement and Steven's reply. :( I wanted to be in on the fun but had some things to take care of tonight.

Thanks for letting me know about the plan, and what a great job organizing the secret.

And congrats to Steven, you earned it with your tireless dedication.

Thanks for the tip! I wouldn't have thought of that, but it's a great idea! Is switching phones on VZ as easy as it was on Helio? Yes.. I said Helio! :P I had the Ocean that I loved but it was too big so I had a slim (forget the name) for when I went out or wanted a badass flip. You could swap phones on the website as easy as a few clicks and seconds!

The discount should show online, or in the store. Switching phones is real easy peasy... walk in, walk out. Or if you have a sim card its easier too

She obviously knew more than she was allowed to tell me at the time. I thought I may have just been imagining it, but my fiance actually said as we were walking out. "Well, it was obvious she knew more than she was saying."

Anyway, I might give them both a call back tomorrow just to see what they say. I'll send you a PM. Perhaps we can keep each other informed about the local GNex situation.

Does anyone know if the curved front is gonna cost a lot more if, god forbid, you drop and crack it?

I replaced my Dinc screen, and it was only $30 for the screen/digitizer.

Well I am on a family plan and am an additional line so I'll have to find the main login tomorrow before I can see that online.

OG Droid def doesn't have a sim card... Do you mean I have to go to the store to do that? I feel like I swapped phones over the phone with VZW robots before.

I am so sorry you missed it! You helped make it happen and we all really appreciate it. I guess I did it at 8PM so maximum people could see it... but I guess there's no way to time such a thing so everyone can :o

If you didn't get to read the actual announcement, it's post #68774 and Steven's response is #68883. It was phenomenal, and we took him by complete surprise! :D

I think a lot here can relate to your sentiment about sales peeps. They do seem so hush hush about it all. I even had one giggle at me as he was listing the specs for the GN. He said it had 16 GB internal and a 32GB micro SD card that came with it... :D

So anybody else doing the midnight run tonight? I realize nothing will come of it, but considering how little info has slipped on a day supposedly two days from the last known release date... who knows what will happen?

That doesn't matter. I may only be 18, but I was raised to respect everyone, and treat them how I would want them to treat me. If I wrote an article and had some information I wanted to share, and all of you shot me down BEFORE the date even came around, I would be reluctant to ever share any information again. How do you know its not true?

Also, as a member of this HUGE site, one bad apple can ruin it for everyone. Its really not that hard to keep your thoughts to yourself and treat everyone else with courtesy... Especially when you would have to put in the effort to type in what you want to say.

Is it that hard to be kind to others anymore?
