Anyone play with the galaxy player or know anyone who has? I am planning on getting one for xmas gift and was wondering if anyone used/knew anything about how it is.

My granddaughter was using mine until a few months ago when she earned a DX.

Ha, there is a guy I work with that still has one (and uses it). Mine was not very reliable. I gave it to a friend after I got my iphone, it completely busted within a week. It was on it's way out already though.

Exactly what I plan to do. Combination MP3 and game players. My daughter wants the GNex to come out so she gets my DX.

My boys (6&8) want the GNex to come out more than I do. My wife and I get GNex and our boys get out Dincs to play angry birds and listen to music. The boys have been asking me daily when my phone will get here since August when I started reading this thread.

I'm a little late to the game in here, but I wanted to also say a Congratulations and and thanks to Steven58. I also want to thank TheChief and all those involved and contributed. I would have been glad to help too, but understand the need to limit those that were asked. I would go through and put a thanks to everyone here that makes this a great place to spend A LOT of time, but I would just be repeating Evils. lol. No offense directed at you, but that picture doesn't explain much at all. Why would it not show the phone's name on the screen? Just a randomly placed price and a mashed together date? Plus, Verizon stores will probably be able to sell the phone before Costco anyways. *hopeful thinking*

Yeah I didn't take it personally. Plus, I was only relaying information I was given and being my optimistic self. Seems like people on Reddit don't like my sense of hope and promise.

1. Congrats to Mikey, none of the other news in here holds a candle to what you and your wife found out. Awesome stuff!

2. Congrats to Steven, can't think of a nicer, more deserving guy I would have been happy to donate what little I could as well. Above that though, wish a speedy recovery to your wife for me, like I said about Mikey, this phone and the BS around it has nothing on actual hurts/blessings.

3. Whether or not this phone comes out on Friday, it's worth the wait. If you are intent on sticking with Android, you cannot do better IMO.

4. I've got 24 hours of studying ahead of me for a Statics final on Saturday, I am not looking forward to this at all haha.
