***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

So recently, today was supposed to be the day back in mid November when 11/17 fell through. Tomorrow was supposed to be the day sometime last week. ...and now___________ ??

This is turning into one bad song and dnce

We were idiots for believing in the first place.

They said "later this summer" for the Bionic, and it came out 2 weeks before the summer ended.

They said "later this year" for the Gnex, and. . . .

Here's a good question. If Verizon delayed the phone because they reached a last minute commercial agreement to include Wallet, and need to get it in the phone for release, would you forgive them for the extra wait?

I'm assuming that they wouldnt "put it on the phone". The hardware is there.. They just have to flip a switch on the Android Market side to make it compatible with the GNEX.

Two weeks before the end of the year is 12/17...still in plenty of time for Christmas for them. We weren't idiots for believing...we are idiots for constantly SPECULATING. They will launch this phone in December...we're just less patient because we've been playing this game since October.

Early made that hypothesis yesterday. But as he explained, this is a result of a trashy usb cable not a phone problem. So VZW would look kinda dumb if it was the reason.

And V looking dumb is unusual and unexpected? If Canada can release this phone, surely the US can figure this out.

I'm sticking to my guns that if GNex isn't released by Christmas I'm off to Sprint. I'm tired of phones that cost more than everyone else's even though they are three months old by release time.

Also, does anyone know the time of the meeting today? Maybe we'll have actual confirmed VZW branded news after that meeting.

Yeah.... Both launches are pretty awful. You'd think they'd learn their lesson but nope! Not yet anyway.

I really hope part of the issue is they're tightening their ranks on leaks and just burying the info. Trying to stay optimistic!

I'm beginning to think there really isn't a reason for this delay. If it's bugs that software can't fix, the phone would be dead in the water, no release at all. If it's software bugs, it really won't affect many people. Face it, this is a geek phone for those that want pure Google Android experience with ICS. Geeks know early adopters will always deal with bugs. If it's 4G problems, then stop selling all 4G phones until it's fixed (that's not happening). To me, there is no logical explanation.

They should've scrapped the Bionic for the RAZR (with a removable battery).

I don't think Verizon held up the Bionic though, the phone we saw at CES looked quite different from the Bionic we got. Thats Moto's bag.

I'm guessing we'll probably hear something from it around noon or something. Even if the meeting is over, it takes a little time to leak things.
That may not necessarily have been about the Nexus. There was talk of rebranding the Verizon LTE hotspots into Jetpacks. That's what it could be about...

As someone stated before, there's a HUGE difference between stopping the sales of 50% of their phone inventory and not launching a phone that was never officially announced.

Spoken like a true Coastie....BMC (ret) sends!!

I'm an ET...what's your excuse for being here, Boats? ;)

Kidding, this machine seems to be bringing in quite a diverse crowd, and rightly so. I'm actually a legacy FT...good to see some Coastie love in here. Have fun in the real world, hope to join you soon.
