why are you frustrated about the 6 posts by blkbeltkid if you are beyond and above rumors? It wouldn't have been "official" and as you said would not have been from Verizon...?
 
Ok, getting on a plane, got a one hour fight tll my next connection....there better be good news when I turn this phone back on.

This whole launch is a cluster. And not because they keep pushing back launch dates. They haven't announced one yet (at least not to the public), so that's not possible. But I think it's pretty clear at this point that it was supposed to launch tomorrow, and then got delayed. So they're seriously screwing things up internally something awful. I'm sure everyone at Verizon is scratching their heads.

Well one very good thing (depending how you look at it) is they are not giving us a date...therefore leaving their options open to launch any moment.

may be a dumb question....but to all the people who are saying if you geth the phone you can't use it......since its 4g and has a sim card, cant i just pop in an active sim card and it is ready to go? I ask this because I have had VZW my entire life and am unfamilair with sim cards, but I thought that was the case

Also: I am impressed we went about 50,000 posts (at least) without a huge arguement even if we did just finish a little spat there....nicely done.
 
Lol relax, just bustin your chops. I've had final projects due all week as well. Been staring at a computer screen for 6 hours straight today, with an all nighter last night. Either way, naps are always necessary lol.

Last night I said that because I expected that by now, everyone would follow Steven's rules on politeness, I wouldn't be posting more until the Nexus (I said all I've had to say on it, honestly).

But around here, I and other mods have been stressing the cardinal rule -

Attack issues, not other posters.

Failure to comply will be met with infractions. :mad:
 
No offense to anyone on here, but blkbeltkid17 was excited and posted what he had. I will admit I was a lil bit let down but ease up on him. At least see what the pics have to bring. And I only say this because if someone else out there ever gets news in the future(hopefully soon) they might not post it here in fear that he or she will get flamed cause said news might not live up to expectations of some.

Either that or they don't have any idea when this phone is going to launch either. The worst case scenario is that they postponed it for whatever reason and literally have no idea when it will be scheduled to launch again. That's what it's looking right now.
 
Honestly if this is a software issue and Google Wallet is included in an OTA that I get when I open the phone on Thursday I will gladly wait a week.

Granted I can side-load the Google Wallet APK from XDA, but if it was officially supported by Verizon & Google together on the device it would definitely put me at peace of mind especially since its my money I am spending.

Not sure if this is the reason for the delay or not, just purely speculation and my opinion.

To get back on topic, is it possible that there was a shortage (the no stores in VA/DC area part of bbk's story) nationwide..That Verizon needed to wait until all stores could get stock before releasing the bahemoth..Yeah, I know that sounds way too optimistic/naive too...:o
