Here's the question. IF and it's a gigantic IF at midnight the google.com/nexus site or Verizon Wireless begins selling the Nexus WILL YOU BUY IT or will you wait and see if they are in stores tomorrow. You know you can get it by Monday if you buy it online tomorrow. OR if you risk it and wait, you may not be able to get it at all.

What will you do?

I doubt they do LTE in Canada. I checked the coverage maps and it doesn't show any LTE. But I could be wrong.

You are probably correct. But they do do CDMA. And I still hold to my statement that if the phone's model number was i515 and I had the funds and I was there, I would have been severly tempted . . . . .

Thanks, peeps. So why is the 15th the magic number?

My Rezound is still within the 14 day period should it drop on the 15th (or do I have until Jan 15th? I can't keep this stuff straight). If it doesn't come out I don't know what I"m gonna do. I don't tihnk I'm sticking with the Rezound.

I just found something on the main website of the Galaxy Nexus!!!!

On the main screen, bullets 2-3 all say "Buy Now" instead of Register! Not sure what this means, but they could be close to release.

Great find Mac! You've got me all excited now :D:D:D

There IS a Canada site at google.ca/nexus. With a "buy" button. You may not be able to access it from the US.

The buy button from the Canada site brings up a screen to let you choose between Virgin and Bell. When you click one, it takes you to that company's site. I went with Bell, and it brought me here:

Galaxy Nexus from Bell Mobility - Bell Canada

You can then either log in, or "build your solution" as a new customer. You go through some basic steps, and it'll let you add it to the cart. You can then proceed to checkout, that's where I stopped.

Oooh, wow, that's quite the dilemma... I would probably buy it in store that day. I don't think there's too much demand in Toledo, OH for this phone, and if there is, we actually have two corporate stores that I can check with :)

I would be devastated if it was unavailable in store and then later online too though...

If it is for sure that the stores will not get it until Monday, I will buy it tomorrow! And hopefully have it sometime this weekend :)

I will buy since I wanted to buy it online anyway.

Is that before hell freezes over and monkey's fly out of my butt? If so... I'll buy it :p

CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW VERIZON?

Also, Han, the OG Transformer was essentially pure Honeycomb except that a few of the icons were changed. Nothing drastic.

Like the way RAZR seems to run up pretty high until probably about the date it became exceedingly clear it would have a locked bootloader in the USA.

C-Block rules enforcement please anyone? That LTE won't work well if they loose their C-Block licenses.

Good evening all. Been busy most of the day, but thought I'd drop by for the nightly Midnight Rocky Horror Picture Show - just in case.

To answer your question Cincy - yes, I'll order online since I'm not going to be near another VZW store for the next few days.

I'd buy. The numbers of stock we've all been hearing for most stores seems really low to me

Do they have a crappy UI overlay? Or will it be stock updates?

They added some widgets and changed the look of the soft navigation buttons. There are also some Asus apps installed for backing up app data (this app actually allows one click rooting somehow) an office program, and some other cloud stuff. It's not 100% stock, but it's close. Some of the Asus apps are actually useful, the widgets look nice, and the only skinning I see is on the navigation buttons, which I actually think look better.

For me, this is acceptable non-vanilla android.

OT Finals
Now back to studying for conflict of laws

SolidOrange, signing out. fingers crossed for my trip to VZ in the morning. if i don't walk out with a GNex, maybe corporate will have at least pulled the gag order off their employees.

The credit card is out tonight again...I'd buy it now.....can't get to a vzw store till Monday anyway due to work

No, what I mean is, what if you wait to buy it and you go to Verizon tomorrow and they say, it's not out yet and the release date is not known. THAT is the risk. If you order it, you know it will be delivered Monday via 2 day mail. If you wait, it may be held up indefinitely. I think I will buy it if it goes up tonight.

Pretty much what I thought. Google won't sell you one, but it will just redirect you to a carriers website to buy.

So us US LTE users will still be waiting on Verizon. Wouldn't that be the ultimate kick in the crotch if the Google button went live, and all it did was redirect to the Verizon GNex signup page. Ahhhhggggg.

Nah, that spike on 11/11 was just due to the fact that that was the day the RAZR was released. I don't think bootloader lockage has an effect on mainstream popularity of a product :p

Agree I have had my TF for about 2 weeks and am loving it. Good to see asus stick with updates, something phone manufacturers should take note of.

Yes, a rarity in this day and age. I am also on the OG TF site on XDA, and ASUS has people watching it and answering questions or getting feedback to improve it. I have been really pleasantly surprised with the level of support by ASUS considering this device was the least expensive 10.1" tablet to come out this past year for android. There is a lot of support for it from the dev community too. I with phone manufacturers were this good with keeping their devices up to date...

12/9. If not I have Vacation day for 12/12.:)

I'm going to the corporate store tomorrow morning, if they don't sell then a non corporate store, then best buy and then radio shack. Not holding out hope that they will actually sell, but maybe I can get a date for release. Never bought a phone online, don't know if I could wait that extra day or two AFTER I have purchased. My blood pressure might actually cause me to have an aneurism in anticipation. Just my luck that I stroke out just days before getting this phone in my hand.
