I feel really torn. My wife is just telling me to go get a dang phone already. She is telling me that I'm a "grown arse man" and that it's just a phone and to stop being so crazy over this phone. I think she's right, but then again, she's wrong at the same time. I've just been a casual follower to this thread only to find out when the Nexus was coming out. Slowly I find myself checking before bed, at work, when I wake up and pressing the F5 button way too often...

I'm a grown arse man. And I'm a Nexus-aholic.
 
Long time lurker here.

Just thought I'd chime in and say thanks for everyone in this thread. It's giving me something to read every night while I patiently wait for the phone.

Amazon's fine print says the double data deal ends the 15th of December, so if you are holding out I would make sure I bought it on the 15th if it is indeed the day it comes out.

Verizon Military Arm: They have Regional Swat Teams, deployed and ready to go in case one of their Nexi is activated early. They will immediately descend on the store, incarcerated the Manager and remove all stock. They will black spray paint the windows and turn it into a Dollar General store. And that's why you aren't getting the Nexus until Marni decides to let you.
 
After my failure to purchase a Nexus this morning, I returned to work. Just now, my phone rang and it was the salesperson that had helped me - she said that they had just received an email from Verizon that the release date was going to be the 15th. While consistent with the rumors, I'll believe it when I see it.

If this was in fact true they could have thousands sold today and have there media blitz and word of mouth (free) blitz. :eek:
 
I wish Verizon would just come out and say "it's coming out on the 15th"...then I wouldn't have to spend the next week reading post that say..."I talked to a CSR and it is Confirmed on the 15" a million times. ( I know...I don't have to read it..it just kinda sucks to keep reading that stuff)

I'm so close to doing this. Im right on top of Houston and have 4g service from both Verizon and AT&T and haven't been on contract in months cuz I got the OG droid two years ago. I even sent them an email saying I'm considering leaving and they called me bc of it but didn't offer any incentive to stay

I wasn't trying to say 'CONFIRMED RELEASE DATE IS THE 15TH!!!'. I'm a skeptic and realize what you're saying but, I was simply updating with a report. I wasn't trying to mislead people. I knew that everyone was secretly hopeful for the 9th release and wanted to update that it was a 'No go' for me.

Btw, what type of bridge are you selling? ;)

Yeah ... my thoughts too.

Is the nexus sooo bug-ridden, or the network sooo fragile, or is there bad blood between google, sammie, and vzw that they fear of announcing a date??!!??

They set release dates for the razr and rezound.

Why can't they "go on record" with a date for THIS phone?

W.T.H.

With only a couple shopping weekend left, and apperant interest in this phone, why would they drag their feet!!??

It is possible not everyone has stock of the phone yet .. ok.
But, what is preventing them from making an announcement for next week, or WHENEVER ??

The mother of all screwed up launches.

At approximately what time was this? Seems to line up with what the rep I talked to said...

Again guys, nothing is official until VZW says it's official. We've heard these managers & sales guys come up with dates that have yet to pan out. Wait for the announcement and that will be 'official'.
