I can't blame you one bit, Quick. The only thing I can say is that the phones presented at CES will still be probably 4 months from landing on Verizon, if not longer. If the Prime drops before the Gnex, I'll hold off, but not for another phone. I'll just wait til my wife says it's okay. :p

Launching a phone almost 2 months after announcing it is ridiculous and unacceptable to me. In these times, you have to get your product out very quickly before you get passed up by your competition (see Bionic launch). Razr announced 10-18 and on-sale 11-11. Rezound announced 11-3 and on-sale 11-14. This is how it should be done. Heck, the Razr might be in two colors by the time the Nexus launches. I guess having Samsung, Google, and Verizon all in the same room is just too many people in the kitchen and too many hands on the pie. :mad:

As I hang around in this forum and watch this thing unfold, maybe all your excitement once you all get your hands on one will change my mind. :cool:

Well folks, I've been stalking/occasionally posting for the past 24/36 hours pretty much non-stop and I keep hoping I'll hear word that "Oh, RadioShack is selling now! Go, Go!" or something similar. But nothing.

So I need to step back, take a deep breath, and check back Sunday morning and see if any developments happen. Doubt anything will go on tomorrow. May check in with a local retailer or two in the DC area this afternoon BUT it's pretty obvious I need to be patient and wait.

Unfortunately all these rumors, leaks etc. just make it even worse waiting for this phone. Dying and just can't wait to get it!

Have a great weekend guys, thanks for an entertaining thread. I look forward to restraining myself and checking in less frequently than every two minutes :-)

On the xyboard 8.2 fummy name and looks and feels good. But this is extremely slow compared to the rezound and vids of the nexus. Scrollin is anoying and the lag while typing is annoying. Not to mention the price tag on contract for this lil guy.
 
OT forum question -

How do I add my devices into the profile area on the left? I was looking last night, but I can't seem to find it...or am I just blind?

This is my true addiction. Fast, expensive sport coupes. My wife says I'm a car whore. The longest I have ever owned a car is 39 months. I get bored so quickly. My last car was like sex on wheels. I had a 2011 BMW 135i M Sport but I was hit by another driver and the car was totaled after having it for only 4 1/2 months. :mad:

Yeah, I would have loved to get an old 240Z in a dark, metallic grey w/ a RB26 in there; one day.. there are a lot of nice Z's out there though.

Yeah, that's the previous owner's G. My dad has a Blue Slate sedan with a few mods. I drove a G37 coupe a few years ago and it was a great car.

Sunday would be ideal. There is no way I can get out of work early on Monday or Thursday next week. I honestly don't know what I would do if it was sold out by the time I got to the store. :eek:

I've been to a few Best Buys and Corporate stores in Alexandra and no luck. Most of the Best Buys have them in stock now, just cant sell it..

Agreed. My wife loves Tanzanite, so I got her the best one I could find for her engagement ring. She's got diamond earrings for one anniversary, but not her favorite things.
 
Ok, I am in for the duration. Thanks to THIS (Thanks to whoever posted it) and watching and reading a bunch of other stuff.

I am now willing to wait for VZW, google, Sammy or whoever the culprit is, to try this phone out first. Hopefully, the radio and gps are good enough.

So, ALL IN.

LOVE the Sundrop. My favorite for over 30 years. Unfortunately I have not had a soda in over 2 years.

The pizza I will do as well with added Stella Artois and most likely World of Warcraft while my children and friends (about 9-11 girls, boys, ages 5-12) will have their daily LAN party playing MW2, Left for Dead, Reach and even a little Party Animals). My 5 year old usually has a tablet streaming up entertainment from Youtube.

Is the Verizon Galaxy Nexus Too Late? | GottaBeMobile
If you’re buying a phone not called the iPhone 4S (which doesn’t have 4G LTE), this is the phone that you want.

In the end, Verizon could have been more communicative about the launch. And yeah, it would have been nice to see the device get released in October, November, early December bug free.

But at the end of the day, the Galaxy Nexus will still be the Android phone to get for 2011, and likely through the first couple of months of 2012.
