So if the Google Wallet / Verizon ISIS issue is really what is holding up the phone here's my take on it

So if Verizon released the phone right now without Google wallet I think they're afraid it'll give Google the upper hand. My reasoning is once the phone is out there Google can get their lawyers involved and get Google Wallet on the phone. If the phone isn't released Verizon has the upper hand and can get their hand in Google's pocket. Therefore I can definitely believe Wallet/ISIS could be causing the delay.

While the thread was down I managed to download ubuntu and install it to a usb drive to install (more like reinstall) on to two of my uncles netbooks. Also started a virus scan in safe mode on my cousins laptop. Oh the joys of the holidays and being the computer nerd in the family... ugh.

So basically it's "who has the bigger stick" type of delay. Ewwwww

Everyone in the fam+extended gets ubuntu for "free??" What a joy! :D

Geez guys, I leave for a few hours to go to a company party and you guys got all rowdy? We need the nexus release before we all end up with black eyes!

Anyway, I'm off to bed, just wanted to check in to see if there was anything new. I guess not :( Hope everyone's evening finishes off well!

Introducing Google Wallet - YouTube

Also, if you are planning on using Google Wallet (assuming it's eventually included on the Nexus) and if you have not yet applied for a Citi Mastercard you might want to do that.

Citi

although yes that would be the best route. according to what ive read about the virtual google card is that you can add w/e amount of money to the card as long as you add at least $20. so although it wouldnt be a true credit card deal its better than having to switch to citi

Here's my race appliance, which has won a couple of series and lots of individual races. I teach people to race for real. Every time I strap in, even with a purpose built racecar and full safety gear, I know there is a decent chance that I could end up with a balled up car or worse.

Are you with SCCA or NASA?

Android Market made Verizon's App store obsolete. Do you remember the furor a while back when everyone thought Verizon was going to force it on all of their phones? I think you are right. Google Wallet will definitely put ISIS out of business before it starts.

I dont want to sound like I mean any disrespect when I say this, because I dont. I am disappointed the thread title was changed. The source(s) are entitled to their opinion, but as others have stated, the delay is not Google wallet. We know this from simple deduction, which I will repeat what others have said: Its on the sprint nexus s, its not on the att nexus s, its not on the t-mobile nexus s, its not on the GSM unlocked USA nexus S, its not on the international nexus s, its also not on the GSM locked or unlocked galaxy nexus. Therefore we either have to say that all other carriers nationally and internationally are blocking Wallet (which is insane, but could be 1% possible because they don't have the C block Rules for the LTE spectrum like Verizon has*) or more reasonable: Google has a deal like they have with Google Voice that is sprint only.
The likely thing, as voiced by Hanette and a few others, is that corporate bureaucracy is holding back the phone. No bugs nothing else. This is likely true because the 2 or so people (participating in these forums) who have successfully got a phone activated are not reporting any bugs.

*for those that don't know the C Block rules state that Verizon, who owns that spectrum, can not block any app from running on that network/spectrum. However resonable assumption would state that it cant get that far since its obvious Google is blocking wallet themselves on their own devices via google market, meaning it hasnt reached a point where the debate even needs to step up for Verizon. Sure SURE that press release Verizon put out saying that it was because the phones need special blah blah blah was worded poorly, but we know this is not relevant till Google stops blocking wallet ON THEIR OWN devices.

-Thanks, my 2cents.
Again this isn't an attack on anybody, just my own opinion. Lets continue to have constructive debate over the topics at hand. I don't want this to cause attack at anyone because it wasn't meant that way.

Nope. I get so excited when I am in range of a Wawa its a requirement I stop. I don't care if I'm late or anything. MUST.GET.WAWA. although I did once drink ~144 ounces in 48 hours and couldn't smell coffee for a month without wanting to vomit. :o
Oops. Lol.

I live in South Jersey right near Philly and I could not live without my Wawa :) Their buffalo chicken strip sandwiches are to DIE for!

I think my post got lost in the plethora of posts, and I really would like to know if anyone can answer:

Does a new Nexus come out every year like the iPhone?? I ask because I would be less inclined to switch phones every 2 months :).
