I did tell my VZW manager friend that she should IMMEDIATELY trademark the name/phrase "The God Mighty Nexus" - I think it might catch on!!! :D

OT POST:

Gotcha, for some reason I got the idea that its very easy to tell whats going to happen in each episode of burn notice.

The first and possibly second season are like that somewhat. After that the same formula is applied. Weston is trying to learn more and finds someone to help, but the stories actually get better as does the acting. The real twists and turns take place with his actual burn and what he learns.

Btw, what exactly does "burned" mean in this context? I know I'm not supposed to know why get "burned" yet, but what exactly does that mean? (I'm guessing it mean he's got in trouble for something?)
I thought that too at first but you'll be pleasantly surprised. Stick with it for a bit.

I am not really sure why, but I am addicted to that show:p

Honestly, if the Nexus wasn't going on Verizon I'd be all over the Rezound. It's a superb phone. If it dropped in October I'd be happily owning it.. but since it came out so close (hopefully..damnit) to the Nexus I'd rather hold off for it.

Having the instant updates from Google, the AMOLED, sexier design (imo), and the lack of bloat is worth it for me.

I know you can root, rom, etc with the Rezound but oddly one of the reasons I'm getting the Nexus is so I largely don't have to tinker with the phone. I just want it to work well. In my experience with Droid roms it's a mixed bag.. I may gain speed but typically it's at the expense of annoying bugs and other headaches.

One thing - I read the audio jack is on the bottom due to the curved screen. It's also just a better design choice. Think about it. You put the phone in your pocket upside down. The cord goes directly up rather then getting tangled around in your pocket.

Keep in mind that he has always said TRY not to kill each other. If you happen to kill someone, but had tried not to, that would be a perfectly permissible state. So....take that for what you will.:D

no intentional killing, gotcha

how about reckless? not trying to do it but knowing it's pretty likely

what about gross negligence? like really really farkin not caring about killing someone and it happens

regular negligence? just not caring that someone might get killed

strict liability? engagin in some really dangerous behavior, but being careful not to kill and then someone dies

i mean, if you're gonna get all technical on us...

I tried it, and it was not clear to me that it took my feeds. Is there a way to import them automatically, or do I have to do each one manually?

its a trick to spot. Hit Add New and then on the left click Google Reader and add the ones you want. Then let it sync

Thought I'd join in on my theory for the "delay" till the 15th. I think the recent outage was the main reason and I'll explain why.

1. If they released a phone on an unstable network with new activations taking place so often due to the demand of this phone, it may cause issues or glitches in their system, something they both don't want and would make them look bad.

2. Both the Galaxy Nexus and the Droid 4 were supposed to land last week. Neither did. And especially since we all know how Verizon babys Motorola, this seems even more odd that the Droid 4 would delay. Providing further evidence that Galaxy Nexus specific issues are not why they decided to postpone the release.

I walk/jog 2 to 3 times a day, either treadmill, indoor track or outside, and I have the Beats rocking on my ReZound every time. Buttttt.... For me, I always drop the phone into my pocket right-side UP anyways. Maybe it's just my OCD.......... not be confused with "My OTD" (in my dreams!!! LOL) but dropping the phone into my pocket upside down to have the cord be where it is supposed to be anyway would drivbe me nuts, it was quite honestly my biggest beef with the Nexus when I finally got to get my hands on and play with it.

I also love my HP TP running CM7. That is until about 30 minutes ago when I knocked it off the table and broke its fall with my big toe. Nearly broke my toe in the process. It's still throbbing. LOL.

On another note, I got my screen protector in today, but they sent me the one for the Nexus S. I knew something was wrong when the protector was barely bigger then my iPhone. Oh well.

So, since I have a good buddy who is a Manager at my local VZW Corporate store, I stopped by this afternoon and spent twenty minutes playing around with "The God Mighty Nexus" (her term, not mine).

Pros:
Big, beautiful display on a phone that doesn't FEEL that big.
The "swipe to dismiss" feature in ICS is kind of AWESOME.
The ability to create folders on the fly on any homescreen is a GAME CHANGER to put it mildly.
The camera is fast, Fast, FAST!

Cons:
For regular "Joe Q Public" users or non-tech people, the software buttons are going to be a BIG learning curve
The Headphone jack on the BOTTOM of the phone?? WTH, Samsung?!?!
Although the camera IS fast as all get out, the pictures are average at best, washed out colors with no "pop" at all.
Even with 32GB on board, I HATE the lack of an SD card. I wouldn't buy a computer that couldn't accept a bigger hard drive, after all....

After my 20 minutes of hands on playing time, I had some quiet time at home. Kids out and about, wife at her "employees only" company Christmas Party, and I thought it over. I mean really, REALLY thought it over.

I waited so long for this phone. I was obsessed with getting this phone. I HAD TO HAVE this phone, and ONLY this phone. But after rolling it around in my head for a couple hours, the decision was surprisingly EASY for me:

I am KEEPING my HTC ReZound. I don't want to seem like a traitor here, and I have the utmost respect for those of you who have hung in there, and are still hanging in there, for this phone and this phone alone - I am not going to tell you that I think you are wrong - it truly IS what VZW calls "An Iconic Phone", and for those of you who waited, I don't think you will be disappointed.

I just think the HTC ReZound is a better phone, or at least a better phone FOR ME. Your mileage may vary (and it probably will), but I, for one, am glad that I finally got to SEE the Nexus, play with the Nexus, and put it through it's paces - it really is quite the badass phone and had it come out in early to mid November, I would have bought it on launch day and never looked back.

Thank God (for me, at least) that it did not, because I have never been as happy with a cell phone as I am with my ReZound, even if it does weight a TON more than the Nexus, and the weight difference is VERY noticeable....... I am keeping my fat, bass-rocking Beats girlfriend, and I have nothing but the best wishes for all my forum friends as you set sail with your thin, sexy Samsung Supermodel!!!:D

BTW - my Mgr friend tells me that:

A) the latest delay is due to Google wallet, period end of story and:
B) This phone WILL DROP on DEC 15th, book it, DONE.

It's been one hell of a ride, and I'm glad I got to take it with Steven, Han, BB and the sexiest vampiress EVER - Hugs to everybody and I hope we can all see one other online once in a while once this thread closes!!

Peace, I'm out, the BEATS are calling my name......... Luv ya guys!!!!!!!

I think it is great that you have had a chance to compare the two and decide which you like the best.

I found the Rezound to be an excellent phone and I really hated to return it. It was the phone that I was holding out for before I got a fever for the flavor of a Nexus. While the Beats audio didn't really do anything for me (reminded me of a Loudness button on my old car radio), the update to Sense, amazing screen and speed of the Rezound were really nice. It only took about 3 or 4 minutes of playing with the Nexus though for me to know that it was the phone for me. The biggest thing for me was the feel of the phone in my hand. It just fits in a tactile way that the Rezound doesn't.

Now, if the Nexus has any reception issues then I will be jumping back to the Rezound in a second because the reception on it was really nice.

Even as I sit here and wait for the Nexus, I'm glad that we have the option of 3 really impressive phones.

I dunno... I take it as a "Don't just passively let it happen that you don't kill each other. Make an active effort to ensure you don't murder any of the others."

Of course, someone could still end up getting killed, but it's less likely if we're all making the effort.
