Oh I agree 100%, and like I said I'm not holding my breath. But, I will say that the fact that he called me and seemed positive that Thursday is the day, and actually made an appointment seemed like some good news. Just passing it on....I m remaining optimistic that this is happening at 9am on Thursday....

And they way you wrote has me believing some how your guy is legit....I can just tell !!!!!!
I just wish we could get one little confirming something from somone...

I just came from a VZW corporate store close to my work. I went there twice last week as well. Last week they were disavowing all knowledge, like I was asking about nuclear launch codes or something. Today, totally different reception.
First, the nice manager lady recognized me as the stalker from last week. This time she smiled at me when I asked about "any intel on the Nexus" and she offered (I didn't have to ask) if I wanted to see one. Imagine my answer.
So, she disappears in the back for a few minutes and comes out with the elusive white box. She pulls off the sleeve and when trying to open the two halves of the box, it pops open suddenly and next thing you know, we're both staring at a virgin Nexus on the floor between our feet. Good thing it was carpet.
I held out my hand, not certain of what to expect. All I can say is... WOW!!! (Worth Our Wait!!!) OK, so the battery was not in it, but even so, it was truly sweet. Next, I asked the most loaded question of all (she's heard it from me plenty before); when can I buy it? I offered that I had heard Thursday was the day. She asked what was the date Thursday? I said "the 15th". She said "then I guess I'll see you on Thursday". I take that as confirmation or as close as I'll get out of these guys.
So, I reserved a place in line right when they open on Thursday. Leaving nothing to chance, I also have several dates reserved into 2012, which is a year in which either the world will end, or Verizon might actually release this phone. I suppose one is about as likely as the other.

So EVERYBODY is saying the 15th now, am I correct? Do we have a single source saying otherwise?
Do I take all of their words for it along with Hanette/Miss Piggy/Cheetara's word for it and take Thursday morning off (presentation to give in afternoon so have to work)... Hmm?

So the camera and video aren't great and now the speakerphone might not be that great?
I went from having to get the Nexus to I might have to make a choice between it and the Rezound. I use the speaker all the time and I don't want another phone with a crappy camera. Sigh....
Trust me, the camera is fine. It may not be as amazing as the SGSII or the I4S (possibly even the Rezound, but I wasn't that impressed with the Rezound's) but it is FAR better than any phone released this year besides those two (possibly 3). It blows away all of the Motorolas and definitely any last gen HTC I've used.
Rep said the speakerphone wasn't terrible, but the RAZR was definitely louder. FWIW, the RAZR is incredibly loud IMO.

Man the rumored specs for that phone look so nice. Sadly it probably won't come to verizon and I'm stuck with them for a while.
