Where to buy?

Lurker
as the title says, where is the best place that i should buy the phone from? VZW? bestbuy? radioshack?

is there going to be anything different (promotions, lower price, etc) about any retailer/etailer? (I don't have a costco near me for that offer)

Don't think you're gonna see any promos quite yet from vzw or bb. The Rezound which just came out a month or so ago is still $299 at both places. The "Shack"? I dunno about that place.

Costco from the get go. I saw their ad was $289 with 2 year. Thats about the best you would get now. Maybe if you wait a month or two Amazon will sell it for a special price.

That's only the 16GB version. The 32GB phone is 299 the 16GB is 199.

I read that some where.

If someone online lowers the price hh Gregg will match. Without even knowing they told me my razr was 219 because some other store online was selling it for less.

As ridiculous as this sounds, it seems like all the tertiary retailers -- Radio Shack, BB, Costco -- have shitloads of Nexi waiting to go, and the only people who seem completely clueless as to stock are the official VZW stores. I wonder if the corp stores will actually be ready to go Thursday AM. I know a tiny little nothing Verizon (non-corporate) store downtown (NYC) has a dozen ready to be sold, and yet the morons manning the corporate store floors here seem genuinely clueless. And I don't think they're that gifted actors ;-)

Personally, I'd prefer a corporate VZW store, but if need be there's a BestBuy a block from my office.

How about warranties? if i need to replace it (dead pixel or something) which one has the best policy (without buying additional warranty) or are they all the same?

All the same, unless you buy an extended warranty from BestBuy or another retailer. I just go with insurance, and if the phone tanks or I brick it after the year warranty expires, I can just call VZW and tell them I dropped it accidentally down a sewer hole or on the subway tracks.

thanks for the info! :)

From Droid Life:
"
Tonight at midnight, LetsTalk.com is opening up their store to future Galaxy Nexus deals with quite the deal. Using their $75 off VZW coupon, you can score one as a new customer for $154.99 and $174.99 through an upgrade. That’s essentially half of what Verizon stores will charge you.
Head to this link at 12:01 PST and plug in the code $75VZN."

Not sure if it will work or if this is a legit source, btu just thought id share

Verizon, as I stated in another thread, if you have a loyalty discount or $100 off promo, then buying from a verzion store is the only way to get this applied. If not, call if you can get the loyalty discount. If not, you prob weren't loyal for going to best buy.

Also,

Kaylen: The reason the phones are so cheap through third party vendors like Best Buy, Wirefly, or Let's Talk is because these vendors have their own contract on top of Verizon's contract. With these third party vendors, if you purchase a phone you can not change your plan within the first 6 months or you would incur a termination charge up to $250. Also if you decide to end your contract early, you would have to pay that third party vendor's termination fee and Verizon termination fee amount as well. Does that help clarify the price difference in the phones?

There's your catch

CostCo has 90 day return policy. other than that you could just complain to VZW or use the insurance. All of the above i have used.
