Must have apps for GNex and ICS

I know we have a topic in the main forums for apps, but since the GNex is the first to get ICS and many of the apps out there aren't up to speed with the new OS I thought maybe we could have a thread here with apps that work best for the GNex.

Thoughts?

I dunno about must have apps but I could sure go for some Half Fast Subs

In all seriousness... I've been making good use of lightflow, pure calender, simi clock, beautiful widgets, and pulse. Not necessarily GNex or ICS specific, but still good.

Haha, same here. Go Buffs! Just had lunch there the other day, good shit.

I got simi clock and I'm still toying with getting my home screen on lock, might spring for BW soon.

IMO the most useful app i have used on the gnex is lightflow, followed in a close second by voume+

I've heard a lot about the lightflow app, maybe I'm dumb but I can't seem to get it to do anything. Whenever I hit the 'test notification' button, the LED never turns on... anyone have guidance?

I'm looking for Car Navigation apps that work on ICS... tried CoPilot, Sygic and Navigon, none of them worked.

Most useful app I'm using is Lightflow.

So I'm using handcent on the nex and got light flow. I have the settings set to 'sms:blue' but one of my contacts I want to flash green when they sms me. There seems to be no way to do this since the overall sms:blue takes priority over the individual one??

Is your contact set to green in handcent, or lightflow?

In lightflow, under notifications, there's an option to set different colors for different contacts, if you set it in handcent before, try setting it in lightflow instead.

Edited: Just confirmed that works in lightflow- if I set a contact to a different color, it overrides the general sms color. Neat. :)

OTD...thanks for the TeslaLED suggestion. I was using Switchpro Widgets and it does not look like it's been updated to use the LED for a flashlight.

Turn off the screen. ;)

My must have apps are:

NetFlix
TeslaLED
DropBox
Android Pro Widgets
NHL Gamecenter (if they ever getting working right for ICS)

If you miss swype, TouchPal worked out of the box and has been updated to make use of increased screen size.

I used it about 50% of the time on my D2 anyway.

yeah i have lightflow with all sms/mms blue and then certain individual's sms/mms green. The green doesnt override though - still flashes blue when i get a message from those people.

..seriously.

You DO know google nav is rated higher then garmin and such right?

The only thing I'd use my Garmin for anymore, is geocaching.

In regards to addons, I have NetFlix and Beautiful Widgets. Waiting on my replacement GNex before I go hog wild on more.

I have issues with Handcent. I love it but it mixes contacts up and I end up sending texts to wrong people

Dialer 1 for legit speed-dials. Google Wallet for the useful factor. Cut The Rope (almost as great as Angry Birds). Words Free, Facebook, TweetDeck, and KeyRing.

Last one didn't work on my Droid X (it ran but the X wasn't scannable so I never used it).

Like it very much except for two things.
1. Need a version that stores the maps on SD partition o memory.
2. Not as accurate as my Magellan Maestro 4700 in locating addresses and strange bends in the road. (I. E. where the named road I am on makes a left turn at a stop sign or some such. The Magellan catches this and notifies me. )
3. A minor: Pronounces "Statesville" as "Status ville"

I've had the same problem on mine. Yesterday I sent a sms message to two people at once and after I sent the message it merged them together. I didn't know which person I was texting because it would say 1 name on the list of text messages but when I clicked into the message the name would be different.
