I know it's a damn stupid question, but can you explain?

just unlocking the bootloader with HTCDev has made my phone "unlocked" now. but how do you root it afterwords...

Can anyone explain why it redownloaded all the verizon apps after unlocking the bootloader? must i then get root and remove them?
is there a setting to turn off ota updates or will it ask for my permission when it's available?
Just a word of caution guys.
Do this at your own risk. As i understand it maybe a little shaky ground to walk on with Perm Root and S-On. ....aka chances of a brick are higher. I could be wrong on this but i think i read that somewhere.
Also MrSmith you may can answer this question for me as i'm a little out of it with not having the device and just seeing this. When doing this to get Perm Root does it give you the ability to do a nandroid backup? I would think not because an official CWM would have to be made for the RZ correct?

Yes. I'm going to ask Scott to update cleantool, so that it's REMOVING bloat instead of DISABLING it. I know he's also trying to put out CleanROM
The real Zergrush should get you rooted permanently. I've restarted and battery pulled several times just to be sure. Confirmed also on XDA.

I so missed your question in with everything else. The answer is unfortunately no. We need CWM or another recovery to be able to do a nandroid backup. Remember this, that unless you're in recovery, you're on a running filesystem and that can't be backed up. So we're getting there...inching ever closer by the day. 'til then, enjoy permanent root/bloat removal, and even some undervolting if you like courtesy of setCPU.

i can enable and disable my BT. Granted I haven't actually tried to connect to anything yet.
