Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Change of subject for a just a sec.
Blood, you check out interdpth over in the Transform threads?
he is kickin ass on that ultra... he's got CWM out and a sweet ROM going.... I mean I'm sure he had help I just havent been on the IRC in a min. Anyways, I know you're in 5th gear on this ROM and I certainly dont want you to slow down but they could use a Bad Ass Blood theme if you felt like playing around with it.
Also they really need some Devs to help them get Odin if anyone is interested
 
i have rom manager installed and it keeps telling me that i have to install clock work mod recovery and it dousnt show my phone model it only shows these phone models commtiva Z71(boston Blaze,And more) dell streak Geeksphone huawei Ascend1 and 2 huawei pulse huawei pulse mini huawei u8220/u8230 micromax A70 spice MI700,commtiva link N700 and more

ClockworkMod has to be created for each phone model before it will work with that phone.
We do have CWM that one of the developers (Hroark) made. you can find that here:

Just refer to the root guide in all things root here in these threads before doing anything to your phone. All mods. ROMs, Root, for this phone are here. don't use stuff from anywhere else

Do not attempt to use ROM manager on this phone. Everyone who has tried it has bricked their phone. This is emphasized many places on this forum.

android version 2.3.5
baseband S:M829.07
Kernal Version 2.6.35.7
build number CTMod(Chicken Tits) 2.3

i read that the bootanifix flashes to kernal 1.0 or 1.1 something like that
if i flash it to my phone wont that downgrade my koumakernal? and does it change the boot animation?
 
thanks man my wifes phone seems actually useable now lol. I was hoping to find a rom for this phone that was reliable. Seems real fast and responsive not to shabby for a pre paid.

that fix was for back in CTMod 2.1 cause boot animations were disabled

there is no need for it now

If you are using CT2.3 boot ani is already enabled in this rom.
the first post, rom features. I believe that fix you are referring to was for an earlier version of CTMod..
and No it wont change the animation,, it allows you to be able to use animations other than the one your using now..

hey blood, how can i reapply the ctmod wall paper? i been trying to switch from my go theme to the stock ctmod wall paper but i cant find it

For some reason when i installed it wont boot up. It keeps boot looping constantly. It starts up and shows the samsung logo then goes to the kouma kernal logo then almost immediately restarts. Anyone know what im doing wrong?

your not on the right baseband if your bootlooping

get and use EJ06 Gingerbread Rooted with CWM5 from the odin thread then you can flash CTMod

Thanks. Noob here. Yeah I already changed the baseband when I restored to stock so thats what screwed me up trying to go back to ctmod.
 
I had a little problem yesterday When I go into email then compose and click attach and go to recored audio it force closes is their a fix for this? I am running 2.3CTMod with the Email fix (think its a little too striped down to not include email app i think safe to say most of us have email lol)

try adding SoundRecorder.apk

Email.apk is removed cause 90% of people use gmail instead and gmail can be installed off the market

Thanks I decided just to use video instead of sound haa since that does work!
But thanks for the fast response!

Wow Didnt relies so many people only use Gmail app for mail so how do they get their hotmail or yahoo? When i first got mine i used gmail for gmail and yahoo and hotmail with Email but little annoying to use 2 programs when only needed one, so now run Email for all 3.

Thank you ahead of time though for such a great, clean and stable rom.

--I can't seem to set up an email account in the settings (to fetch and show in notifications bar). It only allows GMail accounts, I can't add yahoo (or anything else) as I could before.

--I have lost all ability to use voice commands (navigation, searches, dictating texts) There is no longer a mic button on my keyboard(s).

Are there apps to re-install to restore this functionality? Settings or steps I missed?

I initially flashed to Gingerbread rooted w/ CWM5 prior to running CTMod. Everything else works great.

try adding VoiceDialer.apk, VoiceSearch.apk and you may want to add GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk too but thats up to you

use the email fix and you should be able to set up your other accounts
