Root [ROM][YACR] CM 7.1-Reppard

Question - why does the quick key bar at the bottom disappear if I touch it accidentally while swiping sideways on the home screen??? (i.e.- phone, contacts, message, etc. icons)
The only way to get it back(so far?) is via ADW restore, or reboot the darn phone. I've checked the settings and can't find a solution to this extremely aggravating issue... unless I've overlooked something?
This happens often enough that I'm almost ready to try a different ROM... and I sure don't want to go through THAT again. lol
I'm using Reppard's newest revision, and it's the only one so far with everything working on my OM. (camera, SMS, MMS, etc.)
Maybe one of you guys could help out with some sage advice?

Since you mentioned that you're using ADW, I'm assuming it's the hidden dock. If you swipe up from the very bottom of the screen it well bring up the hidden dock (you can put added shortcuts and such there for quick access, though nothing is there from default) and to get your regular dock back just swipe down at the bottom of the screen. I believe you can also disable the hidden dock in ADW settings. hth

Aplus - you da man! That did it!
See... I knew I could find someone here with a fix... but I assumed that it was a case of me having a setting wrong or not understanding them - because so far, (two = months and counting) this ROM seems quite stable.
It wasn't my phone or the ROM... it was an I.D.I.O.T. error. lol

You're welcome. And, I wouldn't consider it an error on your part, it's an uncommon setting and ADW is the only launcher that I know of with that feature.
 
Okay so i installed this and also Gapps BUT when i try to sign in to my google account, it says to slide my keyboard and i dont know what to do? What do i do?? help.

edit: got it now =]
 
I got this version. And Juicedefender and the newest kernel. Yet Ive only been down about 12% battery lift in the past hour and a half. Gotta love juicedefender. Or else Id just be running back to stock :D
 
i'm having the hugest issue with this rom where i start to have a lot of lag and it's not 2-3 second lag i'm talking about 25-30 seconds..... it causes a lot when there is a call coming in where the phone will begin to vibrate and the screen won't turn on the whole time so i can't pick up the call... there are also other times when the phone won't vibrate at all and people tell me they called me but my phone shows no notification of a missed call or anything... i don't think it's an oc problem because when it's not a call it works alright not as good as when i first got it stock.... advise please!!!!

Probably so.. Lol.. I have every release of this ROM.. Lol.. And pretty much every other ROM I've downloaded for any other phone I've flashed.. Burr dalvik and cache would probably work. Oh and I remember the reason didnt upgrade.. It was because PG had added some voltage tweaks to the CPU that allowed it clock higher but it severely affected performance and I didnt know if it had been worked out in the last release.. I know that with this version performance it's awesome.. Check my post on the quadrant thread lol..
 
Is there another kernel I can use with this instead of the plague v2 kernel, cause when I flash this normally I have a bunch of funky colors cause I was originally 2.2
 
This is the best cm rom for my phone. I only have one issue. My headset doesn't work on this rom for calls (not a Bluetooth headset but a wired one). I can listen to music fine but the mic doesn't work. I know its an issue with cm roms. The only reason I bring it up is bacause I can talk with my headset on bobz rom but unfortunately there are too many other problems with his on my phone. Is there a solution to this?? Any help would be awesome
 
Is there a way to flash this rom without flashing over the kernel?
I updated my phone to 2.2.2 to prevent the updates, and managed to root it last night and I'm willing to test if it will be stable with a rom while using the stock kernel. Thanks, have a nice day. :rolleyes:

IF we can use the NEW kernel (SW version MS690VZ7, Kernel 2.6.32.9, build #2).... it's stable and rock solid - no issues with rebooting or FCs AT ALL.
But I will not have this phone much longer... I'm willing to help test any new new ROMs for the next week or so...

Call me "Guinea Pig" for the next week. lol

i am pretty sure the kernel is the same source that we have all been building from. If you would like to try and keep it you can do nand backup, unpack the boot.img with a kitchen, pull the zimage out. Unpack the boot.img of whatever rom you want to use. Replace the zImage(the kernel) and repack it.
