Help Reading SD card on computer

When I connect my phone to my laptop, I don't see the SD card as a separate drive but I can see the contents spread out in different folders. Any reasons or way to fix this?

not exactly sure what you mean. when you cannect your phone and set it as disk drive does a window popup with the cards content? if so the stuff on your card will usually be in folders so not sure what you mean here.

So, the drive I'm seeing (E) is the SD card and not the phone itself? I was expecting to see the phone as one drive and the SD card as another.

nope what you are seeing is only the card. to view the phone's system partitions you will have to do that on your phone using a file manager. but you will not be able to see the system partitions unless you are rooted.

Ok, cool...that helps. I am rooted but, haven't gone any further, wanted to clear up some questions first. Time to partition and get on with some flashing.
