Angry? This isn' t angry. Bored and frustrated at not having a reasonable ballpark timeframe other than "sometime in Q1" maybe, but not angry.

I haven't gone postal and started shooting up my local Verizon store yet. :p

Just that if it takes a month to determine if the Eris 2.1 works as advertised, i should really consider if I should sell HTC products at all. It should work out of the box, or I will not carry their products.

If the new and improved Frosted Flakes make people sick, my grocery store should pull them from the shelves and consider not carrying Kellog products anymore. And i as a shopper should not blame my store for not testing the Frosted Flakes for a month before putting the new improved boxes out. They should not have to, if Kellogs is doing their job.

Especially if I am a billion dollar company who sells their products!

This is the part I don't think you understand. This is S.T.O.P. with every manufacturer and carrier. It isn't just an HTC or Verizon thing. Every carrier tests the new phones and new software from every manufacturer before they roll it out. It has nothing to do with how well HTC or any other manufacturer has done their job. You keep making comments like this and act as though HTC hasn't done their job or Verizon is over doing it, but this is how it is with every single software update and phone release that comes along.

why be angry. Most people are finally realizing that 2.1 will be here when it gets here. Till then we can help anyone who needs it. Acidbath and the Devs are hard at work on root so eventually, we're gonna get something fun

Oh I know that. I am just raging against the machine! :p Got nothing better to do while I wait.

Just because that is that way it is, doesn't mean i have to accept it. Or like it.
 
The crazy thing is i believe VW claimed it would roll out "sometime" in Q1...so why doesn't everyone just take it down a notch for another 35days....:mad:

I guess this is the paybacks for parents like me who gave everything to our kids to make them happy...maybe we should have held something back once in a while....it appears we have raised a generations with serious issues:o

Not sure where that came from. I don't think anyone is up a notch are they? Our debate is friendly and constructive as far as I can see. The only person getting grumpy right now is you.

Well... First, I am old, and was never spoiled as a child. Parents told me to get a paper route or a job and pay for anything over $50 myself if I wanted it.

Second, why is it that when people say "sometime in the next four months," that they really mean "on the last day we possibly can." ?:rolleyes:

that's what i'm looking forward to most. it's gonna be fun in the forums... unless everyone's quiet cause they're too busy playing with their new OS

i've already messed around with 2.1 a bit on my friend's nexus one, it's not terribly exciting. but i'm definitely looking forward to it, because newer OS's tend to be a bit more efficient than older ones.

the parallel striking me in the back of the head right now; i was running windows xp64 up until a few weeks ago when i switched to windows 7 64. it made my already fast computer seem like an even faster, newer computer.

I've been a Verizon customer for 6-7 years and I just got my Eris via Amazonwireless.com and it was $9.99 and I got my bill down by $11 a month.

"2.1 is here! What do you have to complain about it? Wasn't What you thought? Oh, well go F$@# yourself cause you complained 3 months for it"

i can't wait for C-day (C for can't wait for all the B*tching when people don't get it right away)

I bet OTD, Caddy and Frisco are gonna be right here too, trying to calm people down and seeing as how Caddy got the last update about the time I did, we get to watch it slowly roll in until it gets to us.
