What would make the trackball light up blue??

I did notice today at the cafe that my trackball did have a bluish hue. I have a feeling it has to do with residue on the ball. Khaag, interested in putting a little rubbing alcohol on my ball too? :P Kidding.

Is there by chance anything that looks like this near where you leave your phone unattended?

umm ok all these responses are kinda weird. No I dont paint my nails. I dont have on sun glasses. And sorry not on viagra either. Maybe something did break. thanks anyways guys lol

Leg humpers coming (yes, spelled CORRECTLY) out of the woodwork... sigh.

Dust on a white LED, oil from your fingers, dirt from your fingers (even though your hands are clean) will all leave a residue that will change the way the light from the LED appears. This can be more noticeable with the trackball as it will likely hold oils, dust, dirt, etc much more than the other parts of the phone.

My friend Rach also has a app on her BB to change LED colors and track ball and I'd like to know if we can do the same. My trackball is starting to change a little bit I notice it now after reading this post but it's not big...maybe if you use the phone heavily..but idk

My trackball along with most of grey part of the case is blackened thanks to the dye rubbing off my (leather) holster. Maybe its because of something like that? Maybe from keeping your phone in a pocket/purse rubbing against something dyed blue?
