Ok Like I said if you guys have been reading my post, im going to leave the rom making to the experts and i will be doing all the theming and customizable stuff lol I want to post my themes but since i used uot kitchen they want let me , also i will be posting some great free apks you can replace with in your phone for a fantastic look, Note all apks are free in the market and i will be posting the links and screen shots to them.

More important than a link to beta, maybe you can tell us wgt works and what doesn't ATM aswellas a heads up on any major changes from stock.
 
And is this a ui rebuild or something or a true rom? Its not a very large file.... just file replacement or what not?
 
do i need admiral beast for this it worked fine and then i went to sttock to make aa backup. now im stock and when i try to install i get stuck at the metro screen
 
Guys be carefull flashing this. Me n shabby went threw his files. This a theme n not a rom. His update script has uot kitchen written all over it. He's using someone elses work for a gain. Also r system is not de-odexed n me personally I don't plan on de-odexing the system. A odexed system runs 10% faster then a de-odexed system. A odexed system is smaller then an de-odexed system. The only reason people release de-odexed systems is for themers. The uot kitchen is designed around these de-odexed systems. The uot kitchen don't optimize the files either.

You can change images on a odexed system but your limited to what xmls u can modify.

I'm not hating or forcing anyone to use my work. I'm not afraid of competition. Competition is fun. It makes me want to be better. But as the user n not knowledgeable like me n other respected devs you guys must know the facts.
 
That's what I figured.
It looks like a nice theme though, maybe you can meld your admiral changes and this sweet ics theme.

Its quite confusing to most users who don't understand the difference between a theme and a rom so I will make it a little clearer...

A theme is basically an overgrown icon pack, it can change how your phone looks and to a degree how it performs (bloated themes take up system space and can bog a phone down) this means themes are a pure visual overhaul.
An aosp rom on the otherhand is a system overhaul and includes changes to system operating files (such as the main kernal, system apps and system files) a true rom is literally a rebuild of the core operating system and a theme at the same time.
Somewhere in the middle you have a cooked rom. These are made in "kitchens" and often are edits to stock files on a rom, like framework.Res and a few others. Cooking a rom can allow a basic themer/rom dev compile a new take on an old rom by adding or removing components such as a2sd or deodexing. Most 'real' devs pride themselves in building from source and not using a kitchen but IMO its the best way to learn or try to understand development a bit better.
in any case the creativity and effort are what count but please, in the future, label a rom as a rom and a theme as a theme so I don't stay up until 7am trying to get cwm working only to pop open the files and find a rethemed stock rom
 
Hey Mystery, how is the new Rom coming. DO YOU HAVE an ETA when it will post. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK ON THIS. I KNOW THAT YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING AND ALSO THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP ON THE "THEME ROM". that Dwayne created. Not to put Dwayne down but I think he does not know as much as you do. Keep up the good work and I'll be waiting for new one which will include CWM and Odin and what ever goodies you have in store....
 
I was just wondering, I kinda understood what mystery was saying till he got technical and my dumbass went, ???huh??? lol. Is this a theme that anyone can just create or did you take a developers rom and changed it around, and why is there no changelog. Also I thought that in order to install a rom you have to do a wipe. If its just a theme and not a custom rom, doesnt themes slow down your phones performance. Im just asking cus every time a dev puts out a rom, they worked hard on it and always let us know what we installing besides just a screenshot and if its just something you made up from someones elses rom or a theme any one can make, well, thats kinda cheating too. Just saying.
