Root [ROM] Froyocream Sandwich v2.0 released: 3/29

now that cm7 has rotation animations built in, can I safely assume its easier to port the rotation animations from 2.3 and bring them here rather than try to make everything from scratch or porting from the ICS source?


thats the only thing this rom is missing, and its closer than ever!

im on this rom right now, but geeze i miss the rotation animations from TG-reloaded

Does anyone else have any problems sending MMS messages? I've tried several using the stock messaging program and with GoSMS and my MMS messages never go through. Anyone know what may be causing this or having the same problem? Thanks in advance.

yeah, thats fine i revised it after mantera explained cwm "wipe data/factoryreset" the revised instructions are to wipe data then flash the rom
 
quick question, how hard would it be to get someting like the cm7 keyboard? i dont like the actual keyboard setup myself cause the space bar is smaller and i always hit period on accident but what i like is the ability to move the cursor more accurately with the little tab that pops down so you can be more accurate.
 
I have to say this is the BEST rom I've tried for the Triumph. It looks AWESOME and everything functions well. However, I too am experiencing the bluetooth issue. When I pair with my Subaru's Hands Free system, I lose reception and have to toggle airplane mode to get it back. Its really annoying now as it keeps re-occurring. Has anyone found a fix or looked into? I flashed back to my stock ROM and the problem doesn't exist. Any help is much appreciated!

its a known issue i have only one solution: to make a flashable theme version of this then the phone will just be stock with the theme then you guys can mod the phone however you like :) i'll do this as soon as i can ive been busy lately :(
 
First, thanks a bunch! Been rolling with Froyocream Sandwich for nearly a month now with no real problems to report.
I was so happy to get the black notification bar and I am definitely a fan of the dark color scheme in the pull down. Only problem is trying to read notifications in the pull down in the full sun. There's just not quite enough contrast between the dark grey background and the black text. It's great in low light or even a brightly lit room, but impossible to read walking across a sunny parking lot.
Is there anyway I can improve the contrast slightly, or tweak the ROM a bit help out?
'Tis but a small thing and otherwise this is a super ROM! Thanks again for your time and work!


Also, regarding MMS problems. I use GO SMS for the features but occasionally I DO lose MMS service. I've found that calling VM was the quickest fix. Apparently, out here at least, they do occasionally seem to have network problems...VM customer service can usually do something on there end to reset your service or some such and fix it. Or at least assure you that it's "a temporary network problem."
 
How do I remove the "Google" splash image? It is at the beginning of all my roms now. Even when I do a restore of Stock the splash image still comes up.
 
Added flashable zip with just the theme in the OP for those that want pure stock with the theme or just want to add your own mods from the ground up enjoy :)

EDIT: There is no Bluetooth problem if you use the theme version
 
Thanks for Ziggy and Mobstergunz for this great ROM.
I'm currently on MIUI and have been wanting HDMI back so this ROM looks promising. The only thing holding me back is the lack of custom carrier names and drop down menu power toggles.

If you could implement those in the next release, I'd be all over this ROM.

This is to both ziggy46 and mobstergunz. Although I am a new member to this forum. I am not new to the whole android thing. xD Haha. I have experimented a lot with all my android phones and aftermarket ROM's and such. I've been following you guys for quite awhile. You guys really seem to care about what your doing in your work. I find that to be quite admirable, and to be honest of all the ROM's I have ever tried on any of my phones I find yours to be the best I've used and found to be downright pleasant to look at. Haha

I just have a few additions that I would like to request that I can think of at the moment.

1.) The splash.img you use in your ROM "Red Remix". I REALLY love it how it shows it initilizing and looking almost like some sort of program is running before your home screen actually pops up. (Yes I am a geek like that. Haha) I'd like to see an altered version of that in blue to match the blues in the froyocream that would be EPIC. :D

2.) Although I did try Cyangomod 7 about the only thing I really enjoy is the screen off action. It looks like an old TV powering down. I think that would be an awesome idea to incorporate into yours if possible.

Personally I like the froyocream the best of the two. It looks cleaner and more sophisticated. Especially that sexy dialer!!!! :D

Even if you don't end up liking the idea of adding these into your ROM itself. Maybe if you could put up a link of .zip files I could install myself?

I appreciate you taking the time for reading this. Look foward to seeing more of your guy's work in the future. :)

I'm sure we could do a private zip for you with the custom splash image you want :D

But about the screen off animations, they would be really hard to add into the rom because it would require decompiling framework files and splicing smali files. (Pain in butt lol) if I knew exactly how to do it, I would. :)
