[Verizon] [RECOVERY] CWM TOUCH [from the real CWM this time]

Looking forward to hearing about this.

Hardest part of flashing a ROM is using the damn volume rockers to select things.

Sounds like a good idea, but it apparently breaks the ability to flash ROMs (kernels and radios work fine) on the CDMA version, which is an absolutely no-no for me. I'll be sticking with the overscrolling, back-button-disabling, old version :/
At least for now. Hopefully the issues are ironed out soon.

You should try this from xoomdev. It's excellent, I've flashed/backed up/ restored etc... It's officially unofficial and based off the OEM 5.5.0.4 :D

I actually much prefer hard buttons to navigate in CWM

All of this! I have been on the officially unofficial version since beta2, LOVE IT

Have you experienced or heard of any issues at all that aren't present in official CWM? I might try this out.

As for navigating using volume buttons, don't you get frustrated when a single tap jumps you forward 4 or 5 options? Or when the back button suddenly stops working? I personally have been waiting for a fully working touch recover :)

None because it is 5.5.0.4. Trust me I'm super cautious/scared of modified cwm's I've been through it before with the Inc.

Yeah I did with the GN and the original 5.5.0.4, but now with this no skip version it's like back to the good ole days with the Inc. I like the tactile click it just feels more secure than touch imo.

It's weird though at first lol because you expect it to skip and it doesn't....at all :D

This recovery is amazing. I always wondered why the original wasn't touch sensitive.

It's avialible through rom manager now...

and THAT's annoying....

I just went to download from within Rom manager and its a "In-app" purchase

Seriously? for some reason that just leaves a extremely bad taste in my mouth.

Not about supporting them, I purchased the Premium rom manager just for that reason... just the nickle and dime crap...

sigh...

note: yes I know its available free from the website, the in app pop-up even says as much. (I don't but that makes it worse for me)
