I want to get dragonvale which i've seen on my ipod touch but cant find for my evo? I figured it was an app not approved by my company, but I still can't find it. help?

Is it even possible to get the above? I thought rooting would be just like jailbreaking, can someone tell me if and how they are similar?

First devs work hard and should be paid for their work.

As far as removal you need a filemanager to navigate to the system/app folder to delete the Sprint apps. I recommend you invest in root explore and in titanium backup

Welcome to the Forums!

Did you get your phone rooted successfully or are you still having issues?

Rooting your phone does not give you paid apps for free. It would not be right to expect to get something for free from someone that does alot of work and expects a minimal fee for your use of it.

You will need an app like Titanium Backup Pro to freeze or delete the apps.

Rom Toolbox will take care of you. Rom Toolbox is my absolute favorite app. You can uninstall or backup apps, over/underclock, change fonts and LCD density. And that's not even half of it. Sadly though, I don't think Dragonvale is available for Android.

I second the notion of paying for apps. Some paid apps are crap, but there are plenty worth buying for a few bucks.

Fancy Widget Pro
Widget Locker
Titanium Backup
Set CPU
Tapatalk
Root Explorer

are my personal favorites (even though I honestly rarely use Set CPU or WidgetLocker)

Note that he said "invest" not steal. Also as for the app on iOS that you want on your EVO, rooting your phone does not give you the App Store or give you iOS apps out of no where, it's up to the developer to release the app to Android.
