Help Tethering questions

I am sure it has been asked before, but can anyone give me a step by step on how to tether my G1 to my Laptop, allowing me to use my cellular connection to view the internet from my laptop?
 
Looked at that tether blue, but it says it only tethers the WIFI conection, which I don't need since my comps has its own wifi. What I want is to use my cellular connection to get internet on my computer when I am away from Wifi.
 
Ok added PDANET I think. I can't find it on my phone nor can i find it on the computer, but i watched it download. What did I do wrong?

Goto the downloads folder on the SDCard the apk should be there...

select it or long-press it and you should be able to install ..

If not use an app called App Installer to install it ...

I tried that, and nothing, but then I went to my application list and there it was. After that when I pulled up my menu screen it was there. I haven't tried it out yet, but as soo as I get back into an area with service I will.
Now if I could only figure out a way to use my home wifi service to allow me to receive cell calls and texts lol
