Root [ACS] Star-ScROM for Transform Ultra

In the stock Boost Mobile ROM, I couldn't change the bootup animation or carrier name because Samsung did something to lock those in the kernel, from what I read online. Now that i ve flashed my phone to star-scROM are these settings no changeable? The carrier name is located in eri.xml, and the boot animation is located in the system folder.
 
Thank you! Can I still manually change it with a file manager? (In my case, or ES File Explorer.) Or do they have to be "ported" to the TU?

Great, Thank you! How about ERI.XML? On the Boost ROM it was in the string "EriText=" in the XML file mentioned, however that string was blank in the Boost ROM, again because supossedly Samsung locked those options in the kernel, they weren't just settings in the ROM. I'll have to see when I get home from work (they don't block AF. Phew! :D).

EDIT: Well the Eri.xml looks exactly the same as on the Boost ROM, changing it does nothing, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the carrier name!
 
Also, since flashing to star-scROM 0.6, I can't use the SD card is USB Mass Storage mode. Whenever i connect the phone to my computer it just says "USB Debugging Connected" I've toggled that option on and off, and if it's disabled, my phone will only charge through USB, it never gives me the option to enable Mass Storage mode.

To enable it when connecting go to settings/wireless and networks/usb connection. There set the option to ask connection. Also try reinstalling the drivers

Is there a version of this u can install with cwm ? I'm at work and had an hour to kill was gonna try it out. I got my linux box but data cable is at home.
 
I've been running this ROM for a couple days, and I love it! It's very fast, very fluid, and I love how it does't get bogged down like the stock ROM would. Very nice job!
 
Can someone please give me instructions on how to set up star settings to use EVDO.
 
It never stays evdo only. Doesn't matter how i exit out of it. After i reboot too

Smsc im not sure dns I run open with another program an yes u can ping without losing any settings

after installing that power off then hold vol down and power till it boots recovery pick backup and restore then backup .

my bad, bad day trying to see a difference when i switch between cdma and evdo in star settings. I test it online with 3gspeed.info/ ,
and others. With full bars im only getting between like 12 and 40 kbps (about 5 tries each site). Is there something im missing? Because your advertisement says " Radio Info(Change to EVDO and it'll unlock your speeds to awesome levels!)."
