Root [ACS] Star-ScROM for Transform Ultra

so is Version 0.6 via the .bat method of flashing ROM working or not i have root... and CWM already installed. whats the best way to flash latest build?
 
I didn't see it anywhere in here, but how do I get my phone to stay on EvDO permanently? I switch it over with Star Settings and it seems to register, but then when I check it out later, the dropbox says unknown.

It does say my phone is using network type CDMA - EvDO rev. A though, so I wonder am I just worrying about nothing?
 
Hi I've been following this thread for a while and I'm really interested getting the Rom but I really don't understand the processes and all. Is it possible to acquire it without losing my contacts, applications and all that good stuff? And can someone pleaseee posst a NOOB guide for me... it would be verry much appreciated!! Thanks

bac up app ect. with Ti or your choice of programs.. bac up stock rom with CWM... flash rom via the bat file as in 1st post instructions i dont know if the bat file is working 4 latest ver. last few posts seem to indicate the ROM needs to be pushed as there is no zip file for a cwm flash maybe someone can clear this up is bat file install working for newest ver.?

some people are having problems getting it installed with the bat file.. It worked fine with mine but I have ADB installed on my PC. try that first.. after reboot look in your app drawer to see if you have Star Settings & advanced task killer. if not then install android SDK and ADB on your system and push it using my instructions in the previous post here. I posted links to guides on how to install it all in that post.

Do what h20 says first. to be clear TI is refering Titanium Backup. Must have for root users. I recommend buying pro version.. bets app I have bought yet

I happen to buy TI pro and backed up all my files and once I ran the .bat file and it did whatever it does it restarted and only displays Samsung Transform Ultra!!! I know that this was my own decision I hold noone accountable but myself but can you please help me fix this!!??

reboot into cwm and restore your backup..

did you read the instructions in the first post where you downloaded it? did you enable debugging on the phone before you ran the bat file?

Yes I had read everything and downloaded the file, had USB debugging on and all, but I had only backed up in the Titanium Backup so I had didnt know what CWM was so i just ignored it like a idiot! I have my Titanium Backup folder on my computer though but from what I've researched so far I'm kind of screwed until that other program comes out =(

if you didnt backup your stock rom or install clockworkmod then idk what you can do ? if you have CWM installed download a copy of stock rom and flash with CWM i know there's a copy floating around the forums if you need it an cant find it PM me i have a copy. also you may be interested in this thread http://androidforums.com/transform-ultra-all-things-root/430985-odin-transform-ultra.html someone there may be of more help then me...

interdpth may be able to help you.. with odin. he hasnt finished putting the packages yet but he does have ondin of some sort. best way to get him is Home - IronDust
and the channel is #transform-ultra
send him an IM and ask him if he can help

Thanks alot man, I sent him a message some time this morning, I'll be willing to donate him money if he gives me a quick guide to use it and all. Do you know if it will be hard to use?
 
Hi Guys

I just finished installing the Star-ScROM 0.6 and I have a couple of questions.


  • When I activate the native USB tethering I get a error that says username and or password may be incorrect.


  • When I select EVDO and select and click on the radio band button to select EVDO I get an error message that says

choose EvDO only and hit the home button instead of using the back key then it will stay needless to say home key should be used when ever u exit to save changes click my thanks button if this helped please;)
 
dose sTar-ScRom support DM mode i want to edit my PRL file is that possible while running this ROM?

yeah it does. It does just about everything a stock rom does..

I have a few questions about this ROM. All of my other Android phones rocked CM & that is something I really want but only for certain features. Does Star-ScROM support gif playback, trackball/any button wake, & customization for the Power Control widget? If anyone has answers that'd be great. Thanks!
