Root Phone shuts off after reboot applying CTMoD

Long time Prevail user I bought my phone the first month they came out and rooted it and loaded it up with Shabbymod a couple months later and have enjoyed that since.

Now I'm looking for something faster and less bloated so I did a factory reset, rest cache, installed CWM and stick.zip then applied the CTMod3.1.2.zip and tell it to reboot after it says Install from sdcard complete. The phone reboots and shows the logo for the new Kernal then just turns off and shows my battery and it charges 100% and vibrates and stays off. Ten minutes later the phone is still off and I turn it on and it does the same thing shows the Kernal logo then shuts off.

Did I miss something or do something wrong? Or did it brick it?

You say you were using shabbymod... Did you Odin to gingerbread before installing ct? It will not work on 2.2.2
 
EJ06 is tried and true. But FA19 is the new 2.3.6 update... So it's really up to you.

Edit:as kouma said.the one with cwm pre installed will save some steps
