Root {PORT} Behold 2 Stock ( No Twiz w/ Root & Busybox )

Never mind!!! I just got it sorry about that bh_man!! This phone works super now thanks to u!!! Any word on android 2.x for the bh2?

So I appear to be stuck at the Android logo while booting up after rooting with this rom. Any ideas why? This is my 2nd time doing this and didn't have this problem before. Yes I was on the original stock before doing this and yes I waited for the # after the last step before rebooting.

Edit: Ok so I just decided to Odin back to the original. I'll replace the 3 files from BH MAN's zip and try again.

Edit #2: Ok so I Odin'd back to the original state successfully. I replaced the files on my SD card (unyaffs, try3, and system) and went through the rooting process. After getting the # at the end of the final step, I rebooted. Now I'm stuck at the Android logo again. Any ideas?

well I had sucessfully put on the galaxy and just fixed the mms when i saw this. I had to try. After following all directions i have a Exclamation on my screen and no booting. damn

If you see an exclamation point is sounds like you didn't get the system to go into the phone properly.

Put the phone on download mode and ODIN is back to stock and then follow the directions.

went back to stock and tried again with the hybrid download instead of the grey one and it now boots to android screen but stays there replaying the shine android logo? going back odin waiting for help

Does anyone have an answer to this?

ha ha me too. Try the recovery mode see if you get the exclamation mark. You get the laugh play tmobile screen before the android logo right?

We are all using the same download file from the first post of this thread right?

tried again using
cd /system
rm -R app
rm -R framework
rm -R lib
/data/local/unyaffs /sdcard/system
reboot

as option 3 and it reboots to recovery with the ! mark.

For the Stock no Touchwiz you don't have to use
rm -R framework
rm -r lib

Btw, do you wait till you have the # before entering the next command?

well the menu button got me past the ! and the android screen but then i get tons of force close and the application launcher keeps failing so no way to reset to factory defaults. I am trying from scratch one last time. 4 th time is a charm

Remove App's only for the Stock Behold 2 Rom!!!
Removing anything else will break the Rom.

Ok Here is what i did.

Tried to get odin to reload the stock rom and had some issues so I reinstalled the drivers and started over with a reboot.
Then I shelled in and did all the commnads waiting for the #
I reboot and stick on the android screen so I reboot to recovery and hit menu.
Then it reboots me back to the android screen and works.

thanks again to all. reboot your computer reinstall drivers and make sure you see the # at the end of every command.

I have checked here everyday since I've posted but my problems still have not been acknowledged.
I'm using GDE and whenever I press the home button, it doesn't save my preference for GDE as my home screen. Even when I click Use by default for this action. I'll press home and it works fine, but the moment I switch to certain applications (either its that or my 5th try) and press home, it asks me again.

I went to settings to check defaults, but it shows no signs of me setting any defaults.

Another problem I've encountered is on the camera, when I click on the "Send to" button on the camera software the button doesn't click. Nothing happens when I click on it. Instead of opening the SMS software, it does nothing.

I don't use GDE, so I have no answer.

The send to button does work, it sends the picture to any of the services you have set up in Manage Online Album.

I'm sorry if this was already asked, but if we root and install this after we've gotten the bug fix update will it overwrite the update or have other issues?

Has anyone been able to do this after the bug fix update? I had it running nicely before, but now on reboot I got to the glowing Samsung screen where it just hangs. So I ODIN back and lost the update, and now I can not get the update again. Anyone with any thoughts?

Warning! Do not Use this If you Have Gotten the Update!
Until I get a Chance to make a Root enabled Update, they have changed the System that will Break the Build, Resulting in a ODIN restore.

My Update was a False Positive, so for now there is no Update to Release.
