am i the only one who wishes the "htc vs. Apple patent lawsuit" talk would find a new thread to post in. It's kinda clogging this one up. Not trying to be rude, but at it's core that conversation is not all that relevant to the incredible specifically.

Can anyone confrim what the return policy is for the Nexus One?

From the horse's mouth:

"If you are not satisfied with your Device for any reason, you have up to fourteen (14) days from the date the Device is delivered to you to cancel these Terms with Google (Please note that residents of California, USA have up to thirty (30) days from the date the Device is delivered to cancel these Terms). In order to cancel these Terms and return your Device, please follow the detailed instructions on our Return Page at Returns : Returns and warranty - Nexus One Help or call the HTC customer care center at the number listed in the Service & Repair section of the HTC website (http://www.htc.com). An HTC customer care agent will provide you with an RMA (Returned Merchandise Authorization) ticket number and provide instructions for returning the Device. If you cancel these Terms, Google will refund the full amount of your initial payment, minus the initial shipping charge and any applicable fees set forth in these Terms. You agree to return the Device in its original packaging and in like-new condition with all of the original included accessories. You agree to pay all costs of return shipping as specified by the Return instructions.
Due to costs associated with processing a return and refurbishing the returned Device, you will be charged a one-time restocking/refurbishing fee of $45 USD (which will be deducted from your refund) if you decide to cancel these Terms and return your Device within the return period. Additional deductions to your refund may be made for damage to the Device or missing components. You authorize Google to deduct these amounts from your refund in the event you cancel these Terms and return your Device within the fourteen day period. Please note that you will not be charged the restocking/refurbishing fee if you return the Device in its original condition and in unopened packaging within the fourteen day period.
You may not cancel these Terms and return a Device that has been engraved with a personal message of any sort regardless of where you reside.
Devices that were not successfully delivered to you will be returned to Google and Google will issue a refund to the credit card or other payment method originally charged for the order. The amount of the refund will be the original purchase amount, minus shipping charges and any refurbishing fees associated with engraving. Specifically, returned delivery of Devices that have been engraved with a personal message will result in a $45 USD engraving fee.
Please be advised that returning the Device does not cancel your wireless plan, so you must contact any wireless carrier (and any other applicable service provider(s)) directly to cancel service(s). Your service provider may charge you for usage and other fees that Google does not control.
Special Note for Residents of the European Union: Google's return policy is in accordance with your right to cancel a contract formed at a distance under the EU Distance Selling Directive. In order to exercise your right to cancel these Terms, please follow the procedures at Returns : Returns and warranty - Nexus One Help describing the fourteen day Return Policy. Residents of the EU will not be charged the $45 USD restocking/refurbishing fee when cancelling these Terms within the fourteen-day period and will be refunded the shipping fees paid for initial delivery of the Device. With the exception of the restocking/refurbishing fee and the refund of initial shipping charges, all other terms related to this Return Policy apply to your cancellation of these Terms. Nothing within these Terms affects your rights under law."

Nexus One Phone - Terms of Sale

I thought I was making progress with a verizon salesman in a store right down the road from my house ... I go in every few weeks and talk "shop" with him. We kick around phones and what we like and dislike about them. We talk about android like crazy. But when I try to get admission of ANY kind of "what's coming down the pipe" from him, he plays dumb. If I listened to him, we are stuck with our current selection for the next 6 months. All he'll says is, "the devour is coming out soon". Yeah, no crap. I've already messed with it at BB.

anyway ... I can't get ANYTHING outta my local vzw store people. :(

If I don't have anything concrete to go on after the ctia conf later this month ... I'll cave for a droid. I've been waiting to upgrade for soooooo long. (since october 09)

Somebody go contact Sarab and see if he'll at LEAST give us a photo or two of his Incredible.... Heck, that doesn't seem to be asking too much, especially since he has said that if you bump into him wandering around Jersey, that's the phone he'll have on him. He doesn't make it sound as if seeing it is a huge secret.

Hell, lately I feel as though we're all trying to break into Fort Knox, for Pete's sakes!! It's a TELEPHONE!!

As i went through the posts from last night (last time I was on here when we were making progress with Sarab) til now, i was thinking the exact same thing. All the Apple bashing doesn't really pertain to our HTC incredible and really just clutters the thread with irrelevant posts.

As for the people that were bringing up asking Sarab for spec confirmations, if you look at the posts from last night(around 2 pages back), he has already said he cannot do that. He was already kind enough to register on here and give us SOME info.. I believe that is the best he can do, and i don't think any of us want to get him in hot water (like the Youtube account lady :o)

Thats what i said last night! Maybe not a full on picture, but even just a confirmation and a quick written description would be nice!

Well seeing he registered here with the same name as he was using on Facebook and elsewhere, it would be suicide to give any information under his currently registered account.

Read the post that I quoted, as well last night's post when Sarab first said that if anyone were in the NJ area sees him, he'll have the phone in his hand. I was referring to someone (venom21 said he lived in the same town) meeting up with him, not Sarab telling us directly.

Asked him that last night, Axel, and he said he couldn't comment on it. And then got fussed at to not get him in trouble by attempting to get him to answer that

I would say, if he doesn't want to get in trouble, maybe he shouldn't have used his real name as his user name here in the forums.

Kind of figured it was worth the shot - considering the guys found him because his Twitter had boldly stated he was on the Incredible.

I am hoping this "May" date is wrong or I too will move forward with the N1. My bet is if we do not start to see a marketing campaign in the next week...we will not see the Incredible in March. I WANT the Incredible but I will settle for the N1 because I cannot wait any longer and my wife cannot stand listening to me any longer.
I will keep scanning the web looking for info and I hope more starts to leak. The more that leaks the more likely we will get it in March!

A VZW rep that someone was in contact with. :(
NOO!!!

Im so torn between getting an HTC Incredible/Android device or a Blackberry Storm 2 or Tour 2.

Im leaning towards blackberry now due to BBM and literally like all my friends and school have it, it's kinda ridiculous if you ask me lol.

Excellent use of Black Sabbath lyrics. Kudos to you. :D

I'm sure Mr. Singh didn't have any idea that his simple tweet would bring him an entire community of (mostly) virtual stalkers. Poor guy. Hope he doesn't get in trouble.:)

Hey, isn't that Ozzie??

I have been avoiding registering for the forum, because I ahve so many forums to keep track of as it is. I have been silently reading daily ad absolutely have loved every minute of this. However, now that you guys actually pulled off getting our new forum hero to join us with the good news, I just had to sign up and take a more active aprt in all of this. This is the coolest thing I have ever seen happen in a forum.

@Sarab Singh, THANK YOU!! You have totally mad my day. I think you should get some sort of special honarary title on this forum.

PPBB: just my humble opinion, but if you really want a top of the line device, don't let something like a messenger get in your way. Trust me, I went through the same debate, but have started getting some of my contacts to switch over to Google Talk. I think in the long-run, you'll be much happier waiting the 4-6 weeks for the phone you want.

1.) I very sincerely do not believe that these Verizon Reps know anything more than we do right now. (re: May release)

2.) You guys realize that anyone who trolls these forums could have created a username for that guy and started posting on this site? I'm not saying it is impossible that is was him, but all I am saying is that there is an equally real chance it wasn't him and that we should take everything we hear from random twitterers [sic?], and VZW reps with a grain of salt. At least until CTIA which is the only reliable date and "contacts"

Yea.....theres like nothing to do on a blackberry besides BBM haha

Android has so much more to offer.

If the HTC Incredible don't come by the time i upgrade, i guess its the Nexus One for me then =(
