1.) I very sincerely do not believe that these Verizon Reps know anything more than we do right now. (re: May release)

2.) You guys realize that anyone who trolls these forums could have created a username for that guy and started posting on this site? I'm not saying it is impossible that is was him, but all I am saying is that there is an equally real chance it wasn't him and that we should take everything we hear from random twitterers [sic?], and VZW reps with a grain of salt. At least until CTIA which is the only reliable date and "contacts"

I am quite positive that it was him, not that he gave any information other than what a person who has used the device hands on feels about it.

Somebody go contact Sarab and see if he'll at LEAST give us a photo or two of his Incredible.... Heck, that doesn't seem to be asking too much, especially since he has said that if you bump into him wandering around Jersey, that's the phone he'll have on him. He doesn't make it sound as if seeing it is a huge secret.

Hell, lately I feel as though we're all trying to break into Fort Knox, for Pete's sakes!! It's a TELEPHONE!!

Yes, a phone that has massive revenue potential tied to it. We are putting Mr. Singh at great rish by asking him to give us anything more than he already has. I know a lot of you here work in companies that release new products and we all have rules about what we are allowed to discuss. I vote we respect Mr. Singh and not pressure him. Lets put the pressure on Verizon instead and let Sarab stay up on his throne of awesomeness :)

For what? Did I miss something?

for responding to our begging for info and dropping in to throw us a bone. I just think it was awesome. Look at how fast the forum messages started flying after he showed up. He is good for business, lol.

I said it once, and ill say it again: somethings better than nothing.

I personally enjoy having possible outcomes to discuss and follow (better than a dead forum with no posts). If it doesn't pan out to be true, then oh well, i don't lose anything other than a little excitement (which would not have been there anyways if those rumors/speculations from "sources" weren't stated to begin with). To me, these "sources" are just as valid as a random blog stating they heard something from a "person close to Google" where one blog rumor gets reiterated by hundreds of other blogs, thus supposedly making it more true. That person that spoke with a VZW rep could have easily posted something on a blog and said "Sources very close to Verizon".. and everyone would hit the ground running with that rumor. Just my take on it.:)

Ok, I will re-post what my former student wrote. He is a Verizon Wireless Customer Service Tech
I don't have access to those sort of inventory systems but I can tell you that the screen shots going around with those skus listed are absolutley legit. One is a dummy unit, ending in du and the other one is a the working phone. When will be getting this? Hard to say. I would bet within the next two months. We will have both the Incredible and Nexus One coming out this spring.

So, Fear not yet.........We have two close sources saying March, April!

He says he would bet within the next two months, but says they will both be coming out this Spring. Spring starts Mar 20 and ends Jun 20. So in effect, a Spring release is pretty much April-June timeframe. Early May would actually be a little less than halfway into Spring so as disappointing as it is, it's probably accurate. Would you expect otherwise? I mean, when has Verizon not disappointed us with a decision?

Something is NOT necessarily better than nothing. If we have some poser taking our blind-trusting, desperate souls down a path of saying what we all want to hear, then I'd take nothing ANY DAY. I am NOT saying that this is the case here with Sarab - just be careful what you wish for, that's all. Those of you who were here for the "newsradio" debacle can relate to what I am talking about here. We're very wary now of people like Sarab, that's all. Trust - but verify.

Well, from all the pictures, it looks like it is still in the hands of HTC, so it still has to get to Verizon for the infamous testing. So maybe HTC is holding Verizon back a little bit getting it to them.

Newsradio wasn't totally wrong. I am not here to defend him. He talked about a friendstream I think and the below photo come from flickr in Jan from a person taking photos with Bravo. I could be way off here.

No one is blindtrusting anyone. Its not like youre signing your soul away, you are not LOSING ANYTHING. If you choose not to believe it, thats totally fine. No one is forcing it onto you. Did you take into consideration my example? Same situation here. I'm not going to jump in 100% and say, "i know hes telling the truth - im willing to bet my life on it".. no. But another rumor to possibly follow is fine with me. In the end, a rumor is a rumor - regardless of who's saying.. whether its Engadget claiming they talked to some unknown source that's friends with Eric Schmidt or a random member on here. Nothing is concrete until an official announcement is made. So as with all rumors, you obviously would be naive to fully trust it, however, following it for what it's worth is not harming anyone including yourself. I think you said it best in your last line.. trust but verify. But when the means to verify aren't possible, then you take whats out there

Yeah... it's just frustrating as hell. The guy blitzes on the scene yesterday and now we're reduced to wonder what the hell just happened, exactly. I have to hand it to you guys in here though - the amount of detective work to obtain the information that we DO have in here has been absolutely stellar!! Nothing else on the web comes close to the tenacity found in this thread, that's for sure! :)

That I agree with you. Definitely frustrating.. but hey, we've waited this long through all the rumors, so a month (wishfully thinking) or two (lets hope not:() isn't much longer!

No, he said inner circle, which sounds like friendstream. Can we please let this go, and can we please not chase away other people as well?

woop is right. Take a post for what it's worth. You can ignore it instead of attacking people.

Who was just attacked? Am I missing something?

+1. Think the most accurate info is going to come from CTIA.

If in a week I dont see any advertisements its time to fear the worst and hold out for CTIA, because we arent getting it in March. Kinda been drooling over some N1 roms recently...

Don't worry about it. To be honest, if we talk anymore about this, the thread will be closed. So let's end it where it started, folks.

Not worried about it.... I just didn't see where anyone was "attacked" just now by anyone else, that's all.

I am moving from newsradio but here is his post...... Nobody was talking about this but him.

Could this be what's in the bravo, facebook feature I was talking about before,

In addition to Android 2.1, the update will also include a new Friend Stream widget that enables you to keep up with social network, like Facebook or Twitter, and improve Microsoft Exchange support. Sounds like another great improvement for Android and another device to get the 2.1 update. Are our Hero friends out there excited?!?!? for Android and another device to get the 2.1 update. Are our Hero friends out there excited?!?

Now, I'm totally lost.

Re: Sarab Singh, he may very well have been called into the boss' office this morning and put on double secret probation or something (if he was the real deal).

Lets hope not!

He hasn't posted since last night.. but i'm going to go with hes still at work and just hasn't had time:)

Regarding The Apple Lawsuit....

Apple probably sues 25 people a week and 25 people probably sue apple....lets not get all yanked about something like this....its unfortunately part of the way business is done these days.....

Nothing monumental to announce here, but I just got off the phone with an acquaintance that is a rep for Verizon. In this thread, the statement was made that Verizon reps probably don't know much more than us at this point, but at the same time they may know more before we do. Here's what he had to say. . . . .
Due to the multitouch bug (among others) with the Nexus 1, Verizon has delayed the release until next month, possible the end of this month. (I know this has happened before with other releases through Verizon, so I tend to believe there's some truth to his statement. Verizon is well known for delaying releases until all known bugs have been worked out.)
He also told me that I will be able to buy the Nexus 1 through Verizon and they will offer support for the phone.
Unfortunately, as far as the Incredible is concerned, he has only heard of it, but been told absolutely nothing from Verizon.
He asked me to let him know if I hear more about either phone and he said he would call me the moment he knows anything more.
Take it with a grain of salt, but here's hoping he comes through for me (us). He also told me that once he receives any feedback from Verizon's testers, he'll fill me in and advise me one way or another.
At the very least, hopefully I planted a little bug in his ear and maybe he can squeeze some info from his supervisors, reps, etc.

^ Thank you for your work. I also have contacted an acquaintance I know that works for VZW, however have not recieved a response. :(
