Root MrRee???RoM -v.0.4- (Jan 12)

I have to say I love how the signal bar "breaths" -fades in and out-

That's phatt stuff bro! Nice going on that! Unless I'm trippin, any one else notice the signal bar breathing?
 
hey guys thanks for the hard work on this - i'm new to this stuff but i'm learning as best i can ;)

the font on this rom is kinda hard on my eyes, can anyone tell me what steps to take in order to get and use the font that comes with the stock rom?

also, where can i learn the differences between this rom and the stock rom?

the_doofus , and all:

im going to be working on the rom again (i havent had time last few weeks) and the next release will have lots of fonts for you to choose from... but for now you can do this...:

- find/open "Font Changer" an app already installed on MrRee???Rom
- allow "SU" if you have not already
- read what it says
- in the "Basic" tab long press on "Droid Sans"
- click "Set"
- you'll get a popup that has a folder and say "backup"... click on "DroidSans.ttf"
- click "Apply"
- click "Reboot now"
 
thanks for the info smith, when i try to do what you said, the font never changes, regardless of which one i pick :confused:

any idea as to why?

When is the next update? I've been waiting for the new fonts. I love the font you already have but sometimes on small text size it strains my eyes. But your rom is awsome! Just can't wait to see what's in the next update.
 
sorry guys, ive been very bussy... havent been able to get on the computer latey...

for the fonts google a font that you like (.ttf file ONLY). save the ".ttf file(s)" on your sd card in the folder ".fontchanger"
open font changer and select the font, reboot. Bam your good to go!

i will put a link for default font in the second post.
 
How much can I overclock my tu with mrreerom v.0.4? Can you post a link to the wallpaper on the screenshot from post 1 please? Thanks

Its not just for the MrRee ROM it goes for all ROMs don't overclock past 1.8 Mhz or your phone will get extremely hot possible damaging the battery. I'm running 1.3 Mhz its good enough no lag i would suggest using that settings:)

I have mine overclocked at 1.8 constantly for the last week... had it at 2.0 for a few hours but didn't want to damage anything so I scaled it down a couple notches...

The background picture came directly from the stock Rom... found it hidden in some folder but I've been bussy lately I'm on my phone not on the computer so I'll post a link later if I remember or you can just get it from the rom, I renamed it to the default.

Sorry I've been verry bussy these days... haven't even got on the computer for a few weeks, been doing everything on my ultra... had an update started but, life... I use use 'set cpu' and overclocked with profiles... plugged in set to 1.9/1.3 (high/low) - unplugged set to 1.4/0.2 - screen off 0.4/0.1....

Was working great for a few weeks but just recently I've been getting extreme battery lost... don't know why... so I have unistalled set spu... but still having battery problems... haven't had time to even go back and find out what I did to mess up the battery other than installing 'set dsn' and tinkered with dsn stuff for a few mins untill i got a work call, and never fixed the changes i made or continued to go firther with what i was doing...

but yes when i get some time i will put out an update
 
i wanted to know if I could take out go launcher(cause I'm not really a fan of it) and install a different. Launcher without messing up the rom
 
I removed the default lancher... had a couple of issues because of its removal and made the nessasary fixes... so I don't know if it will or not, I haven't tried ... make a backup n try it... let us know


Use titanium backup to make your new launcher a system app and after install use tb again to make go launcher a user app then delete it. (There are other ways but that's how I do it)
