I'm sorry to burst your bubble but the admire is a pos. it's considered a throw away phone. only reason I had it was cause I left sprint for metro n none of the stores had the indulge in stock. I wanted to stay with Samsung as that's what I was familiar working with.
The only reason Shabby stepped in was cause I needed his help with Odin.
Is it really that hard to make a custom kernal or is it impossible? from what you guys say it seems that the admire is the cheapest of all android phones. Impossible or time consuming? I wanna attempt but I don't know the first thing about it. Maybe some pm can point me in the right direction...
In other words no one if significance feels like working on particularly this phone?
when working with Android making a kernel is the hardest part. It's all code. You want to learn to make a kennel you need to learn "C"
N now your way around Linux.
When building A ROM this different ways to build. It's not all code. I find my self messing with smali (java) more then I do with the source code
We as devs only work on phones we own. This is not are job and it's only a hobby. working on one device is time consuming as it is. we have jobs/school, family, friends, other hobbies. It is also hard to test n debug problems when when there not right in front of you.
But is there a reason why CM7 isnt on admire ? Devs dont notice the admire ? Admire has too little ram for it to work? ?!?!
He just said devs usually work on phones they have meaning most of them don't really have this phone, unforgiven was working on it but it looks like he split
It really does suck that you switched phones man I like you around lol
I really hated metro lol
Who doesn't man I have no choice considering my parents handle all that -_-, but as far as the cm7 that you compiled and flashed you know you like hanging around us and help outif anyone rushes you ill knock em out for you, we just really need someone helping out

I already got rid of my admire. I'm also working on miui for my device. I can't juggle to major builds for 2 different phones at the moment anyways
I'll but you a phone and pay you to do it, lol joking, would you be willing to show me how to develop when your free? Just like basics and what not whatever you have time for
id rather see this than a hundred uot theme threads.I'm so tired of seeing these threads. Trust me, if sunstone was working on one they would have started,a thread about it. So far mystery has, been the only person, actually willing to do the work on the phone instead of just repeatedly asking.
Is anyone working on these?
Cyanogen*

Cyanogen: Not that I know.
There are other people.
It does have some potential.
As I said above, there are some people that I know working on this phone, (like myself), quietly typing away at the code. I am working on a kernel for the phone, BUT, with 2 full time jobs, my time is more limited than the popes is. (I work 15 hours every day.) Don't ever give up hope, and do what I did. If you need something, learn to program, and make it yourself. I know that is sounds hard, but, once you know one, you can learn them all quite quickly. This is what we like to call in programming as "Syntax". So if people stop with these threads, it would be great. And yes, there are still people working on it.
