Root Formatting SD card

I tried the search box but didnt see anything for the prevail. So since im taking care of a 3mnth old, cant spend all night searching forums.

So im running Ctmod 3.2. I want to format the sd so I can have more apps. I also want to go with KK2.0. What do I have to do? Instructions or a link would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance

first you need a rooted gb prevail with cwm
then in cwm partition the sd card first
then go into mounts and storage and format the sd-ext and sd card
install kk2.0
and you should be all set. if i missed a step let me know..but it worked for me

you'll find the partition option under advanced.

so, your best method is to:
1) get ClockWorkMod(CWM) on the phone.
2) partition your Sdcard (In CWM, under Advanced > Partition SDcard)
3) Install CTmod
4) Install KK 2.0
5) ???
6) Profit!

So I should ODIN to stock rooted first, then partition, then ct, then kk? Thats it? Too easy

is it important to format the card? and should it be a new card or can it already have your stuff on it (apps data ect.)?

Well , it all depends on what you wanna do with your card . If you don't wanna run an extension , there is really no reason for you to format your card . If you wanna run an extension , then yes you will need to format your card and it doesn't need to be a new one . Just keep in mind that when you format a card , it erases ALL data on that card so if you have anything important on it , you'll need to save it first .

thanks voltron for this post,ive been unsure about this as well,just wasnt sure bout how to ask or where,ive been following this all things root forum and have read a pretty good portion of it,all i know is i love these ctmod roms and my prevail,is now pimpin,my work season starts in a few weeks and...well lets just say,ive got some beers to buy,right on,thanks for what you guys do.
