This is a port of a MIUI ROM found on the Optimus V.
It has theme support, and a beautiful interface.
Also, I'm not a developer. All I did was switch around few files. Thank the developers from the original thread here

Also huge thanks to b4tnam for bringing this to our attention.

Installation Instructions:
IMPORTANT: Please read the following instructions and follow them carefully or you will get errors.

Changelog:

Release 05302012- Everything finally working :D (Not all app stuff/settings)

Instructions:
New install method now:
1)Boot into recovery,
2)erase/wipe/format everything except sd-card
3)install the new MIUI below
4)Now install gapps (download here if you don't already have it from before from any ROM)
5)Use ES FILE EXPLORER app (I already put it in the ROM) to make a new folder in /data/system called "theme" without quotes (this fixes themes)

-This is the only Flash Player that will work with MIUI [APP] Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.59 ARMv6 - xda-developers
-DSP Manager for MIUI DSP Manager Equalizer for Android - xda-developers

To Get New Themes:
1)Go to the themes app
2)Click online themes on the top
3)Make sure you uncheck lockscreen so that you can still unlock.....some are too big and won't unlock.

EDIT: AS OF MAY 31ST 2012 THIS IS NOT NEEDED!

Possible MMS fix for this ROM is to
1. Go in recovery
2. wipe /cache and /dalvik-cache
3. Flash MMS fix (links below)
4. After reboot, in home press Menu>System settings>Mobile networks>Access Point Names
5. Check that box so that you see a blue box inside the white box
6. I'm hoping this works :D I don't have my phone bill paid..

There are 2 fixes that were made. Sometimes one works and the other doesn't.
Only flash ONE and see if it works. After following directions, make sure it stays. If it doesn't then try the other one or if it's not working try the other one:

1. MetroMMSFIX by Playful God[Gingerbread]
2. MetroMMSFIX by Reppard[Gingerbread]-not supported by CWM

Does this apply to your ics themed gingerbread ROM as well?
 
that one doesn't have an APN menu :/ so I think it's automatically checked since the menu does not exist...

Also a problem has been found with ringtones, they will not change nor open (it force closes) and idk if the phone will even ring if someone calls you.

EDIT: yea it does
 
Hey,

I flashed your rom and for some reason everything works but my data doesn't work at all. I can connect to the internet but I cant make calls etc..

Some people in the Optimus V said they were having problems with that, too. Try going into settings> mobile networks> system select> automatic and see if that fixes it, and let me know. If it doesn't work, I might have to pull the download until it works.
 
I flashed this yesterday. I can call, and send SMS, but not MMS. Other than that my data doesn't work for anything else, unless I'm connected to wifi. I don't think 3G works. I get a force close when I try to select a ringtone. Bluetooth works. And that's about it.
I played with the performance settings for a while.. everything was running smooth until 844 mhz xD
 
What recovery are you using? Im using rom manager and cant flash this. At all. Tried everything. Someone tell me who successfully did this with the name of the recovery and thread? :D
 
I have CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.6 should work fine, I don't use ROM manager with it, I just flash it myself

yeah. lol mine can only go up to 825 MHz. :D

Did you try flashing the MMS fix?? and then open voice dialer app and say "Open APNs" to see if it is activated.

I can call and text but I can't go on the internet and it doesn't say 3G or 1x it only show bars, and it says "roaming indicator is off." and I tried what you did, it still isn't working.

If it says "Roaming Indicator Off" it's working correctly, that is not an error. It's supposed to say that. :D
Are you sure data doesn't work?? Try going on the internet. And also did you try post #4 as well as what Primed said to do?
