List of Voice Actions Commands

When I say "Play Kimbra" or whoever, it gives me the option to open in iHeartRadio, Play Music, or Youtube. But what if I want to play it in uber music? Will it only give up to 3 options in that window anyway?

no, I think the dev for Uber Music needs to implement the API to be actionable by Voice Actions. Send them an email from their market address and see if they can implement it.

Yeah I've had this problem too, you gotta think like a computer!

I think there should be an optional field in all contacts' names so that you can add a phonetic spelling for the name that the voice actions will use if the field is used. Wouldn't be too hard to do, I don't think..

On my Galaxy Nexus, you can add a Phonetic First, Middle, and Last name. I don't know if the voice actions actually use it though.

I hadn't used this before reading this thread. Now I've tried it out and some of it works and some of it doesn't. When I say the name of a contact it gives me internet search results. Same when I say listen to ...... an artist. Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe your phone knows that you don't REALLY have a girlfriend and isn't going along with your charade!

I am a tech luddite so pls be gentle and simple with instructions! When i use voice actions from home screen and say not to self, all that happens is a google search of not to self! how can i get it to take a note? Do i need an app/ if so what?

Welcome to the forums!

Do you have a Galaxy Nexus Phone? This was a new feature for Android 4.0.

You might also try pronouncing "note" differently to see if that helps too.

"More like "Noh T" rather than "Nawt" (not saying you are doing this, but just trying to suggest some possible solutions).
