Eris 2.1 leak Bug's and Fixes

So the leaked version from the one site didnt have the verizon logo on boot? I thought the one Caddy posted looked familiar I re-downloaded anyway but mine went smooth fast and has the verizon logo and what looks like normal HTC logo's.

I was just giving an update of where I was in the install and reload process. All 3 installs that I have done had the Verizon and HTC logos.

i sent a email to my gmail acct (that i never use) with a jpg attached, and i clicked to open the email on my phone and the picture automatically displayed in the body. is that what you mean?

seriously.

Does anyone else have a pinch bug? it has happened twice on my phone. reboot is the only fix I can tell so far. I saw one other poster had the same issue, it just stops on any home screen, then photo, and browser. sad sad.

No problems with attached images. Embedded images are the ones that don't show up.

I stopped using Dolphin pre-2.1 and started enjoying the stock browser. Now in testing the whole link and web connection issue, I'm thinking of using Dolphin again since Steel doesn't work. I like the functionality and interface of the stock browser on 2.1 but it ballooned up to 7mb from about 500k in size after just one day's use and you always have to dig into the cache to clear instead of being able to clear on exit.

BTW--the earlier posted build is the one I'm running.

Well since yesterday (another boot or two), my google sign-in appears to be working correctly and the desktop clock now shows my current location instead of Chicago. Things keep improving.

Loaded urbanspoon and clicked on a link....no joy. Still won't connect.

the whole app no worky? mine does its like a slot machine......

soo wait is the caddy version the.. tester... Just works...version? and is it worth it OTD, or Caddy?

....

oh anyone noticed when you charging your phone the touchscreen get all jittery and wacked out if you try to use it?

hows it lookin?

Install was quicker, but I didn't really see any bugs until a few hours after. I'll keep you informed. The main thing was the sounds that kept going out. We'll see :)

Update: When adding Facebook account, some people including me, did not have sync contacts option until reboot. I have it w/o reboot, we'll see if anything else is different.

I have my phone plugged in while at work each day and I have not experienced any jittery wacked out stuff with my touchscreen.

There's no difference in the ROMs. As I posted in another thread here...

============================
I created MD5 checksums on the (2) different ROMs. Here's the results:

Patched, broken (?) version:

I don't know if you're going to 'applications' or not, but just so you know, you can clear the cache from inside the browser, you still have to dig for it - but it's just a small shovelful. :)

I believe that's been reported when using a non-stock and/or defective wall charger. I had mine plugged into the computer today (damn messing with 2.1 is sure taking a toll on the battery) and it worked fine. I've also used it at home while plugged in, no issues there either.
