Root Set CPU Settings

I am new to the entire rooting concept let alone all that it offers but I figured i'd give it a try, my issue is that my battery life honestly SUCKS with this phone, I use it frequently but was wondering what the best settings were for it to maximize performance and battery life?

wat sw version r u on ex.zvb b c

I keep my setCPU set ondemand 600ish/200ish for screen on. On demand 600/300 for screen off and charging and power save 500/100 for overheat.

You DO NOT need to overclock your phone to 2.1 or 2.0. The speed isn't so much faster to where sacrificing battery life is worth it. My phone is still fast as shit as 600ish. Over clocking is over rated. :D

If I download a kernal how do I apply it or what do I do with it exactly i'm new to all of this..I need rom manager too right?

If you go up to the "All things root" post and choose your kernel it will have instructions on what to do once you download it. Most of the time you put in on your SD and instal through CWM(recovery).

Just search around. I'm sure 90 percent of the answers you need are already here. ;)

EDIT. I'll help you out a little bit. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=best+settings+for+setcpu :D

Weird...i use that exact set up..except i am always at stock MAX freq.

I will admit i miss having the choice to go to 1.5GHz for certain games, but i dont have the time for them anymore anyways, plus it helps to have a useable phone instead of one that is off and in my pocket :)

I dont think they did too much voltage tweaks on homeless that effects our performance since at 1GHz MAX it is pretty snappy, with Plague it felt like at 1GHz it was kind of laggy, but at 1200Mhz it was fine. So i think it has to do with the voltage tweaks.
